Good food, nice people. Service was a little slow as there was only one person out front. Biggest drawback to this restaurant is the availability of parking as you do have park on the street and feed the meter. Other than that good meal good prices.

We haven’t ordered from this restaurant since they moved from up town to by the underpass. I ordered fajitas and chicken cheese chips with everything on the side. They did an excellent job it was hot food, and everything tasted great!!! Thank you for doing an awesome job!! Gracias!! We will order again.

Typically I wouldn’t even do this for a bad service situation, but this was REALLY bad.
I placed an order over the phone which I was told would take 15 to 20 minutes to complete. I even waited 20 minutes to leave my house so I could be sure the food would be ready when I got there (I had my almost 2-year-old daughter with me and she can be a handful in “waiting” situations). Once I got there I stood at the front for an awkward amount of time holding my child before the lady came to me so I could tell her I had placed a phone order. At that point I was probably in there another 20 minutes before she actually brought my food out. She handed me my food while I’m sitting at the front counter. She then proceeded to check out two other tables that have walked up to the counter before she checked me out who had already been waiting there and ungodly amount of time. During this time a guy that was sitting at a table with his wife had walked up and asked about his food that they had been waiting on for almost an hour. Either way, my order ended up being $50 which was a decent bit over what I would typically pay for something like that. It wasn’t until I got home with the food that I realized she had given me a gigantic cup (at LEAST 30 something ounces) of cheese dip and charged me $13 for it. I literally just ordered a large cheese dip. I didn’t say anything about getting half their supply. So I had to go all the way back up there and get a refund for the cheese dip. This was a really terrible experience. Which is pretty unfortunate because the food is kind of decent.

If I could rate -1 I would. The food was terrible! I ordered the California burrito and it had 90% rice! The burrito was so dry and not appetizing. I was unable to eat my food. I’m not a picky eater but this was probably the worst Mexican I have ever had. Save your money and your tastebuds

Ordered 2 burritos, two chicken tacos, a chalupa and a chicken enchilada. What I received seemed nothing at all what I ordered. Everything was beef when I ordered chicken…. and the beef wasn’t seasoned. Just cooked plain beef. Honestly so disappointing..

I’ve always had el Canelo in neshannock, and it is very similar taste to the original store!! They’re always the best and the cheese sauce is amazing. I always get the fried chimichangas and it never fails. Thank you

Ordered their fried ice cream, not sure what this is but it’s not that. Has cereal flakes on it with sprinkles. No honey, no cinnamon, not anything. The ice cream itself is cheap and taste like ice. Very disappointed.

Went there for the first time, looked good online. Service was terrible, after we got our drinks our waitress didn’t come back over until she brought our food about an hour later. And the restaurant was empty so there wasn’t really a reason for it. We asked for waters with our initial drinks, never got them, had to ask again when our food was brought, still didn’t get them, had to ask a 3rd time before we finally got water. Margaritas are cheap but also taste super cheap, so that is what it is. My food was okay, got chimichangas. Tasted fine. Wife got chicken fajitas, chicken was bone dry and hard to eat. Especially without any drinks. Also got a small basket of chips when we arrived, finished it while we were waiting for our food after about 25 minutes and were never offered another. So there was a roughly 30 minute window where we had no food or drink or service of any kind, not even water.

I do not know what is going on with this place. I was a very steady customer at the New Castle restaurant then the Ellwood City restaurant opened. They moved from location by the Dollar General to the under pass on 5th street. The girl running then show is very difficult to deal with. I place an order to go they tell me 20 minutes. When i get there to pick the order up in 20 minutes she takes the order again and I have to wait another 10 minutes for them to cook the order. Then they come out with the wrong order and expect me to take it. What happened to the guy that was running the place? I give up I’m not going back. This happens at least every three orders.
