Probably the best Chili Rellenos we’ve ever eaten.
My husband and I spotted this gem nestled inside a former Taco Bell building while we were lost and hungry.
El Cancun Tacos y Mariscos was a welcome discovery.
The staff was friendly, the food delicious, hot sauce was HOT, and the mild sauce was tasty.
The absence of yellow and white Queso sauce drenched food is a sure indicator the restaurant is not Tex Mex. Hallelujah!!
The ambiance is in the flavor of the food and not in extravagant furnishings.
This restaurant has been put on our list of restaurants to visit often.

The tilapia was amazing! Tender and juicy. The barbacoa unfortunately was quite dry and I was unable to eat it after a couple of bites since it got caught my my throat and had to go to the restroom to throw it up. My date ended up trading plates and agreed that he had never had barbacoa so dry before.

Seen this place as I was driving through Longview and decided to stop. I ordered a large shrimp cocktail with oysters and octopus to go. It was delicious and it was more than I expected compared other cocktails I’ve bought from other restaurants. I will come by again.

They have people waiting, but they are on their cellphone and lots of uncleaned tables, no one want to clean them i guess so guest can sit.

This has to be the worst Beef fajitas I’ve ever had. The meat was rubbery and had a weird taste and color to it. It’s rare that I cannot just power thru a bad tasting meal, but one bite and I was done here. For once Mexican food in California taste better than the food here, and California sucks.

Just because there’s more than a few of the same kind of reviews about finding gross stuff in the food and the long rude wait times, I won’t be going. It’s these kinds of reviews that really affect the restaurants reputation. I see no answer from the restaurant either. I think the health dept, should be called if there’s bad stuff in the food. That’s disgusting. I’m not taking that chance. Especially now a days. No thanks.

Dang. This place was tasty. I had gone their with my friend and we had Michladas and their seafood cocktail; shrimp, octopus and oysters. We ordered both the large of each and it has us pretty full. We chilled there for a while and then ordered a couple tacos and sopes. The sopes were a nice finish to the lunch. I will be back.
