The absolute best Mexican restaurant around and my whole family agrees. We’ve ate at them all. Best food guacamole, salsa, everything including service. It’ll ruin other Mexican restaurants for you. Honest review. Cameron’s Azteca is the dish in the picture. It is the single most delicious Mexican dish ive ever had. Through the roof delicious. Sopapilas for desert, warm dough with cinnamon and honey served with ice cream. Its like a drug…

Staff were friendly and helpful. The Good was good, pricing is way overpriced for the portion of food served. $20+ per person…

Came for lunch after running around, it was our first time there and the food was absolutely amazing, and very flavorful! The tres leches was fantastic. Waiter was very attentive and the atmosphere was great!

May 2024 :

What is going on with this place? Stopped in for lunch, and the food was absolutely AWFUL!!!

Ordered two lunch specials. One featured a Chile Relleno and Taco. The Chile Relleno came as half of a boiled green bell pepper filled with unseasoned ground beef. What happened to the Poblano pepper? To the egg batter? To seasoning anything?

The taco was cold. We sent it back. The waiter brought another one over right away. That tells me they were already made and sitting in the kitchen. At least in this one, the chicken was warm. On the other hand, it was also tasteless. It was apparently cooked in water and then shredded. Hello!? Flavors are needed!!!!

The other special featured a chicken burrito stuffed with the same flavorless chicken filling and nothing else. There was a red sauce on top of the burrito. The special also came with a bean tostada. Again, where was the seasoning?

The most flavorful part of the meal were the complimentary chips and salsa provided when we sat down. Thankfully there were three hot sauce bottles on the table as half of one of them went into our two dishes.

The server was good and handled the cold taco appropriately. He checked on us frequently and I cannot blame him for bad kitchen practices.

With food this terrible, we are not planning on coming back.

Sept 2021 update — Bottom line, this is a new location that’s been open for three weeks when we visited. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The food is the same as it was.

With the new location having opened up, we gathered a few friends, and tried it out. As mentioned above, this is the same place, just moved slightly northwards. They took over an existing building and made a few changes to it. The biggest one was that they took out the wall that used to separate the bar from the parking lot and replaced it with three garage doors. This made the bar area much more open and bright. It also allows for rolling up the doors to allow for fresh air to come in and to give the appearance of outdoor seating when the weather allows. Other than that, they only replaced the furnishings and repainted the interior, so if you were familiar with what it looked like before, you will find your way with no problems.

The servers were quick, efficient, personable and friendly. There were almost no delays even though the place was packed. There was one miscommunication on the salsa, but it was quickly taken care of by our main server, so this does not even rate a complaint.

The food? Since there were five of us, we each ordered different things from different parts of the menu. While we were not exactly disappointed, this was the same menu and the same dishes as the previous location had. It is not bad, but it’s not the best in town. It is also far better than some other places I can name, so this is not a knock on them by any means.

Our total bill came to $30 per person which included the meal, margaritas and tip. Not too bad. It was interesting to note though, that they charge $1.50 for each additional basket of tortilla chips beyond the first complimentary one. Hmmm….

2017 — All the standards In an expansive menu. Service is very nice. But the food quality is just average.

Horrible experience do not go here, there was a Latino heavier set man who is balding, gold tooth who was so passive aggressive when I complained that the chicken quesadilla is not a chicken quesadilla. The cheese was not in the room with us. He charge me extra money for a sprinkle of cheese!! Why would he do that if there was not any cheese. Me and my friend were not happy with the service. He was so rude. Made me
Uncomfortable and the food made me sick. Currently have food poisoning and thrown up. Save your money pretty expensive also considering the food is not good. The man who works here needs to take basic courtesy classes. As someone
Who is Mexican, not my own people disrespecting me.

Terrible, terrible, terrible!! Don’t ever go to this establishment!! My friends and I went yesterday evening for dinner and we ordered queso for the table, we didn’t even get a quarter of a way through and I found a hair in it. After explaining it to my friends we decided not to say anything and just not eat the queso. After we get our food the one friend I was with was eating her rice and she pulled a long hair out of her mouth. All disgusted we decided to call the waiter over and when we did he was rude and said he would tell the manager but the manager didn’t come over. After we were treated like idiots because we made a complaint we decided to tell about the queso also. We said we were willing to still pay for the queso and the waiter laughed and said “well ya you will” we said go get the manager and when he came over he said all his staff wear hair nets and the hair could of got in our food from the environment or another customer around us. The menu was also misleading I ordered a quesadilla supreme and I made sure it had what I wanted in it and I omitted what I didn’t and I found mushrooms in it and it didn’t say on the menu that it had mushrooms. I will never go back to this place and I may be taking further actions so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
I wish I could give 0 stars.

We visited El Campesino on 8-5-24. Overall, I would say Taco Bell is better and I don’t like Taco Bell. I ordered the Enchiladas De mole’(Chicken) ($17.75) and my wife ordered the Fish Tacos ($17.75) . The best part of the meal was the chips and salsa. The Mole’ was flavorless and the chicken under-seasoned or not seasoned at all. The Fish Tacos had very small pieces of fried fish and not seasoned. I knew meals were not prepared fresh as the meals were served within 5 minutes of placing the order. Of course, the restaurant was not busy, but this is fast-food that pretends to be better quality restaurant (see prices above).
Poor quality and overpriced!

Good Mexican food. Compared to their previous location, this one is much bigger and much nicer. Besides the bar area, they have three other sections for seating. Surprisingly they don’t seem to use the fireplace even on a cold evening!

Very friendly and efficient staff. Good choices on menu. Portion size was good. Excellent desserts – Churro with ice cream and Fried Ice cream were amazing.

Entrance and seating were conveniently accessible by wheel chair. Restroom were a little challenging to access with electric wheel chair. Too many sharp turns and tight spaces.

Our server was friendly. The food was good. The portions were small for the price. They had the volume to the music a little loud. I’ve eaten here many times and would recommend it.
