I was in the area for a soccer game and originally planned to grab some pizza, but my son wanted something more traditional and home-style. We decided to try Campesino instead.
Being half Mexican and having Mexican restaurants in my family, I’m usually hesitant to try other places because I often end up disappointed with the taste. But I have to say, they definitely passed the test! It’s rare for me to say I truly enjoyed my food at a Mexican restaurant, but Campesino impressed me. The flavors were authentic and delicious. Prices at this Mexican grocery cannot be beat. I am here at least once or twice a month, if not more. A friendly service with a smile, fast checkout, and bags and boxes provided. The produce selection and the dairy is amazing. Get the fat chorizo links and all types of papaya, mangoes, pineapples, avocados, and sweet corn and melons in season. Much more, even beautiful Christmas decorations around the holidays.

This was literally the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I cant speak for the dining in portion of the place but I ordered from.door dash and got enchilada soup and rice that tastes like it been sitting for a while.

Although I am a “Gringo” I know Mexican Food. I have eaten here many times in the past 12 months.
Pros: Better for take out than dine in. Burritos, Huaraches and Tacos are good! Salsa Roja is good! Husband and Wife owners. BYOB.
Cons: Older / tired decor, could be cleaner, bathroom needs MUCH attention. Owner- Wife who is server automatically adds 15% tip to ALL dine in checks, without informing.
No signage saying such.
Skimpy on Salsa Servings. Management seems apathetic.

Finally stop in here usually go to another local Mexican place. I bought some hard shell tacos a Horchata. Both were excellent really enjoyed their sauces will definitely put this in my stops when in town. It’s looks a little run down but food made up for it.

We did not like the food. My husband’s burrito was okay but that was the best of all the meals. My enchiladas did not taste good; couldn’t eat them Another person’s beef tacos we’re overcooked, greasy and were way to salty. Will not go back.
