I spotted El Camino Nueve after leaving the Ruidoso Tattoo Expo and thought I’d give it a try. I selected to eat on Patio as the weather was beautiful. My waitress was very friendly, personable and attentive. Food wise I ordered the pork carnitas with double beans no rice, and also had a order of complimentary chips and salsa. The green salsa for the chips had a wonderful taste, and a decent but not to hot heat. The pork carnitas were tender and well seasoned. Beans I could’ve used actually a little more considering it was doh le but nonetheless they were good. Now the star takeaway is for the red sauce served on the side of the carnitas. It wasn’t bad, not spicy, but it had a bitter after taste. I know red chile has a little bitterness to it, but it was more bitter than I usually taste. In any case it didn’t ruin anything for me. I mostly used the rest of my green salsa on it. I would likely stop in again if I’m in the area.

Average place. Got the ground beef tacos . The tacos themselves were decent. They were a bit plain. Not much flavor. But the shells are good. The rice and beans are ok . The portions for those are a little small compared to other places. The waitress was also not the friendliest. She seemed a little grumpy. But it’s a cute spot, heard the margaritas are really good. Come for the vibes, not the food lol.

My waiter was excellent and she did a great job so I gave her 5 stars. As for the food it was disgusting, the side of queso and cheese was all filled with lumps and watered down, the cheese wasn’t even melted. The posole had no flavor and was oily, the beans were super runny and the rice had no flavor, and the tacos only had 4 little strands of shredded beef. I feel that whoever the cook was, had no pride in what he or her let out from the kitchen to the customers. I would suggest wasting your hard earned money somewhere else.

The environment was chill. Friendly staff. Our server, hope was super friendly and honest. We enjoyed the flautas, Mexican combo and tres leches. Parking was good. Convenient to the main road.

Terrible. Watered down guacamole, watered down sauces, horrible. No flavor as everything is watered down. Enchiladas were falling apart as it was like the tortilla was soaked in water. What is odd is the enchiladas had hash browns in them and also the nachos had shredded hash browns. I guess they are using this as fillers. Not recommended.

Food was 10/10 service was perfect. Staff was so friendly and helpful with everything on the menu. Definitely recommend the huevos rancheros and chips and queso! Always get the kids a Fanta

When we walked in there was a long line, but we waited maybe 10 minutes. Food was quick, servers were on their A game, even though their were only 2 servers we NEVER waited… Would definitely recomend! And the cucumber watermelon margarita was AMAZING! ❤❤

Food was good. Made with fresh ingredients. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Tortillas were authentic. Had the Pozole. Not everyday you get to eat some so it was a real treat. Ordered the Watermelon cucumber Margarita. It was very tasty. Ended up ordering another. Will go back again.

Our waitress made sure we were not out of chips or drinks. The food was very tex mex not so much authentic Mexican. It was spicy and good though we enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff well done yall. We had a Combo plate and a bloody Mary no complaints.
