Fun for margaritas and tapas… skip the rest.

We went for lunch on a Sunday. Normal busy, didn’t have to wait too long to be seated.
Staff friendly, a tad slow. The margaritas are very good. Appetizers (tapas) are diverse and flavorful.

…..but the food, as pretty as it looks (see picture), is heavy on onions and spices (and garlic) to the point that it is all you taste, during and after dinner.
…and before one says anything, yes, we are very familiar with authentic Mexican food, not tex-mex.

The atmosphere is typical Boca (proximity to the mall does not help): obnoxious, entitled, odd.

Overall it wasn’t bad…. but it wasn’t great either. Have a margarita, couple of apetizers, and you’re good.

Margarita afternoon at El Camino in my very own Boca Raton!! One of the best tequila bars I’ve stumbled into and it totally has the swag.

Awesome drinks! A mouthwatering menu! Funky tunes! And a 9-page tequila list

El Camino has some amazing food. The girl who seated our group seemed a little sour, but our server Tamara made up for it. She was pleasant, polite, quick, and double checked that everything was perfect.

All the food we tried was top notch and full of flavor. The hot sauces we had were delicious too. They were spicy, but not unbearably so.

My empanadas were exactly what I wanted—just protein (cheese and meat) and no beans. My friend’s burrito was amazing too. The chips and salsa we got for our table were tasty and fresh.

Great Mexican-style cuisine. Plenty of room inside. Clean and well-kept. And our server Tamara is awesome.

Returned with the wife and I must say, the food and service was even better than the first time, if that’s possible..Autumn, our server, is terrific and ger recommendations were spot on!

My wife loved, loved, loved the watermelon Sangria! The chicken and shrimp fajitas were a Home Run… but the All-Star was definitely the Coconut tree leches!

First timer here and I have one word…WOW!

I had the three taco combo without the tortillas ( on carnivore diet) and used the freshly cooked and delicious chicharrones as the vehicle…Home Run!

Here’s a great tip: mix a little of their delicious house hotsauce with the sourcream..you’ll thank me!

Definitely returning weekly.

Oh…let’s not forget the staff, Mathis and Cassandra were Fastastic accommodating my specific dietary restrictions!

What a terribly disappointing experience. I reached out to the manager at El Camino via their website to see about reserving a table for 15 of my employees for a work anniversary celebration. They replied saying I could only reserve a high top if I paid for a fixed menu and drink packages in advance. T phoned and told them we were interested in ordering individually from the menu but wanted to ensure there was seating for all. I chose to simply arrive at 4:30 pm to grab a table but that is when the antics began. I was told I couldn’t be seated without my party being there even though I told them our office was across the street and everyone was in their way. The manager said they could seat is when a handful arrived and when the first 5 of 15 arrived the hostess told me they couldn’t seat is until we had 75% present. All this despite dozens of empty tables and booths throughout the place. When the entire party finally arrived they sat us outside at two separate tables again despite large numbers of open tables that could accommodate us all. Each time I approached the reservations kiosk it felt like they were struggling for no reason at all. When I walked away I overheard them saying I was just going to have to wait and I was unreasonable. My co workers commented that it seemed like they were intentionally trying to avoid seating us. When I pointed out the inside empty large table and suggested seating us there they said that was not the “happy hour” seating! Not sure why they assumed we needed “happy hour” seating and I told them that. It was as if they were making decisions for their customers based upon their own preference. We were intimately seated and serviced by one server. Service was slow and food mediocre at best. Sad because we are so close we could walk there and we entertain clients every day. They need a change in management and much better training. We won’t be going back.

Amazing restaurant. There is a huge outdoor seating area. Didn’t even consider sitting inside. We arrived during Happy Hour and drinks were $6. The guacamole was fresh made with just enough spices to make you want to order another one. I had the chicken fajitas. Huge portion, spicy, and delicious. Also ordered were brisket tacos and fish tacos. No room for dessert. Valet parking is available.

El Camino in Boca Raton is hands-down one of the best Mexican restaurants around! The tacos are absolutely incredible — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in every dish they serve. The margaritas are amazing too — perfectly balanced, refreshing, and the ideal complement to the meal. The atmosphere is vibrant, the service is friendly, and everything about the experience feels top-notch. If you’re in Boca and craving authentic Mexican food, El Camino is the place to go. Five stars all the way! Happy hour prices

We were there for Happy hour. We had to wait for our table but to our surprise we were able to order drinks in the courtyard while waiting. Our server Claire was amazing. She was very friendly and attentive. This is by far our favorite hh spot. I highly recommend.

Day 5 Happy Hour at El Camino location in Boca Raton, FL was incredible. The place was buzzing, but the atmosphere was fantastic. We snagged a table pretty quickly despite the crowd. Our server, John, was top-notch. We started with a $6 margarita & a michelada, & the tamarind straw was a game-changer. The food was phenomenal – chips with salsa, pork tamale, chicharrones, & more. We were stuffed, but the flavors were perfection. What a steal!

I’ve visited this restaurant on a few different occasions, hoping my experience would improve, but unfortunately, it has remained inconsistent. The hostess did not seem particularly welcoming, which set the tone for the visit. The complimentary chips and salsa were very basic and tasted more like barbecue sauce than traditional salsa.

The portions felt small for the price and lacked strong flavor. There is also no kids’ menu or kids’ cups available, and the music is quite loud, which makes it less suitable for families with young children.

It’s disappointing because the space itself is beautiful and the atmosphere has a lot of potential. However, the service felt inattentive, as staff frequently walked by without checking in. With some adjustments to service, menu options, and overall attentiveness, the experience could be significantly improved.I’ve visited this restaurant on a few different occasions, hoping my experience would improve, but unfortunately, it has remained inconsistent.
