was new to us. It seemed to attract a high proportion of Latinos and since my wife is Mexican, she considers a busy Latino presence to be a good sign at a Mexican restaurant. We ordered two different shrimp dishes but we were disappointed to find that the taste was just ok. The portions were plentiful, we recieved prompt service and the staff were friendly, so the place gets full marks for service and atmosphere. I just hope this experience with the food was an aberration, especially considering the price point.
Quick and friendly service. If you are eating in, you order food and pay at the counter and you wait for your food at the table.
We will definitely come again.
The process just fyi is you order at the counter and get a number to locate you wherever you get to sit.
The dish was delicious, the fish was well portioned and cooked perfectly with a light crisp on outside without it being dry.
Was asked if wanted tortillas which I did and to my surprise they were handmade tortillas.
I was surprised at the efficiency at which this restaurant operates. Staff seems to enjoy their job and my waitress Jackie was exceptional.
She provides great customer service in a professional manner.
I didn’t have a single con as far as my dish, shrimp tasted great too. This dish comes in two options Al mojo and hich is in garlic or alabdianla which would be in a spicy sauce and I opted today for garlic.
I would highly recommend.
Yes, it’s a bit odd. It’s a small place, with 8 booths a couple tables. I Imagine on a Friday/Sat night you’ll have to wait (or sit at the bar – there’s prob 10 spots there). You place your order at the bar then they bring your food to the table (you get a number placard to place on the table, which reminds me of number of places, but I can’t recall the name of one at the moment). At the same time … it gives it a bit of charm.
Honestly, we were fine with all that; we came in, ordered a couple drinks, sat down … then figured out what we wanted. The bartender was very nice and personable. The menu is on the wall in Spanish (with pictures), but they have menus at the bar with the English translation.
Everything we ordered was excellent. Spicy means spicy but not hot just for the sake of being hot; I had the fish and shrimp with a diablo sauce and it was not only make-you-sweat spicy but also full of flavor. My Girlfriend had the shrimp enchiladas and the same applied.
Basically – no complaints, and will be going back. Really enjoyed our dinner.
