Had a great blt, and club sandwich, service was ok, wasn’t greeted when we walked in there was three people around the counter when we walked inside. It took about 5 minutes to be talked to. But other then that it was a pleasant visit

I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich and the bread had mold. I called and complained. I came back to show them and Kathy, the manager at the time didn’t apologize AT ALL!! Had them make me something else, but NEVER apologized. Another thing, they had someone answering the phone and taking orders. She didn’t understand English at all. I literally repeated my order and name about 6 times. This place is getting worse. I used to come here atleast 3 or 4 times a month. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Really just a lovely little bistro. Delicious food, great staff, child friendly. I keep coming back for the kind staff who not only provide genuinely excellent customer service, but always are doting on my little one and don’t make me feel like a nuisance having a kid with me most times. (They even have higher quality high chairs than standard restaurant ones, which help me prevent a mess). Highly recommend if you’re looking for a casual, yummy breakfast or lunch.

Spectacular breakfast options! Great juice and smoothie options. We dined inside and bought pancakes to go. Staff had the courteous forethought to bring the takeout to us just as we finished so the meal would travel as warm as possible. The Popeye omelette was delicious!

Got the La Mesa hot sandwich with sourdough bread and it hit the spot. SUCH a good sandwich. Got the French toast, also good. Finished it off with a mocha blended coffee. A nice relaxing spot to enjoy breakfast or brunch. Would recommend

Walked in.and was told to take a seat and they gave me a menu. I’ve been sitting here for 15 minutes with no drink, no silverware and no waitress asking what I’d like to eat. There is 3 other tables and all have had their food since I walked in. Poor service.

We order take out all the time. Food is incredible. Today decided to eat in . Bad decision. Service is sub level at that. Just order take out. Didn’t get the food at the same time. So 5 minutes later ask where the rest of our order is and never received it.

We were visiting family and went looking for brunch at someplace local and interesting. We found the staff warm and inviting and the food excellent. My Denver omelette was flavorful and served hot. This is a great find in El Cajon.

We loved it! They were busy and we were informed about the 30 mins wait time and no special request — but they were able to deliver our food in less than the time frame they said. We came to this place after we went hiking. The food hits the spot, they have a wide selection of fresh & healthy drinks and food. The best part was their vegetarian options and dog friendly.

I was in town a year ago and went to El cajon bistro. It was so good. I came back again this year. This time I tried the healthy breakfast burrito and it was excellent. It did not taste at all like I was giving something up to eat something healthy. It was savory and the potatoes were great. I wish I lived closer and could eat here more often!
