Visited with my boyfriend, and we loved it! The selection is incredible and the prices are great. The kolaches were possibly the best I’ve ever had. Love their churros, and the coffee was really good too.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and seemed to enjoy what they do.

The cake is always delicious — we buy from you all the time and it never disappoints.
The customer service was wonderful. I wish I remembered the young lady’s name, but she helped me with my birthday cake order and was absolutely amazing. She was patient, kind, always smiling, and made the whole experience so easy and pleasant.
Special thanks to her for her excellent service and positive attitude. You can really tell when someone cares. I truly appreciate it and will definitely keep coming back!

Houston Classic Sweet, Savory & Always Delicious at El Bolillo Bakery!

El Bolillo Bakery never misses. From the moment you step inside, you’re hit with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread and sweet treats that feels like home. Whether you’re popping in early morning or late afternoon, there’s always something fresh and amazing calling your name.

Their bolillos are legendary perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and airy on the inside. The sweet breads, empanadas, cakes and especially the tres leches and pineapple cake are standouts.
The variety is impressive: from super sweet items to lighter, less sugary breads, they offer something for every taste.

What I love is that this bakery feels like a neighborhood institution. Prices are very reasonable walk in with $10‑$15 and walk out with enough bread, pastries, or cakes to delight everyone.

Customer service is warm and efficient; yes, it can get busy, but the staff keep things moving and you always feel welcome. Clean, well‑organized space, and you can tell people here take pride in what they do.

If you want authentic Mexican bakery goodness in Houston, El Bolillo is a must. Whether for breakfast con café, a sweet treat to share, or a cake for something special—it delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Needed a last minute birthday cake for my grandson’s birthday party. My daughter forgot to order one. Walked in and they had plenty to choose from. And the price was great. Was out the door in 15 minutes. Even personalized it.

Wow, this place is like a dream for someone visiting from Florida; we don’t have anything like these bakeries here. First, the amount of fresh and well-made pastries and breads, then the price—it is so cheap compared to everything in Florida. We would love to have one here

It’s a fantastic bakery with a huge variety of fresh Mexican treats. Not only your typical sweet bread, but they also have fresh flour tortillas, cakes, and drinks—staff was friendly. The only thing I would say is that I wish they had prices on the items to know how much I’m spending. I would buy more if I knew how much it was. Overall, my sweet bread was from $1 to $3.50, and bolillos 50¢

Specializes in Mexican pastries bolillos, empanadas, cheese horns, conchas, mantecadas and more. They also have some novelty items like Churro croissant filled with cajeta and chocolate filled conchas. They have tamales, teas, Mexican coffee, and kolaches. They also have cakes and chocolate covered strawberries. Whole cakes for birthdays and they also sell slices. Very clean, spacious and well stocked always! Freshest in the morning ofc but they are constantly restocking, fresh pans come out often.
