My wife and I love checking out smaller, local restaurants and boy are we glad that we stopped at El Bodegon. This is a small, charming restaurant tucked away in a strip mall. They serve Tapas (small plates) for dinner. We ordered a half dozen and loved every dish. Each was packed with flavor and was a work of art with ingredients popping up throughout the tasting that had me nodding along. Highlights for us were the pescado, bruselas, carne brava and flan for dessert.

This restaurant should be booked with reservations weeks in advance, but we were able to get a table just fine without a reservation.

Friendly service and a very warm and relaxing atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back!

This place was super nice! We stopped by and it was pretty busy for a 2 on a weekday but it was for a good reason. We sat down and the worker walked over to us really quick even though he was obviously quite busy. He was super nice and explained to us the menu! We got the Axo-Tortas with chicken as the protein and Horchata! The food took a while to arrive but that is only because they make it all fresh. It was SO GOOD! The bread was crunchy, the chicken was perfectly tender and soft, the sauce was so flavorful!!! I would recommend this place so much!!! Please stop by and support!

Return visit to El Bodegón, this time to celebrate my son’s birthday. Tapas ordered were decadent & delighted our palates. The Fideos, Paella Marinera, Cordero, Tinta Negra & Cocretas de Jamon were beautifully presented & Alex, our waitron, explained the ingredients in every tapas as he placed it on the table. Rene, owner & chef, came by several times to share his cooking background & history of El Bodegón. Finishing touch to the meal was their homemade flan. Will be back again.

I just visited this amazing restaurant for dinner. The food is 5 stars amazing! I have never had Tapas (Traditional Spanish Small Plates), but I had a steak plate, a Paella bowl, a tomato salad plate, and the cheese cake, and it was all fantastic in taste, and presentation. I will now be a regular customer now that I have found this culinary gem in Minnetonka!

This restaurant is amazing! My three generation family came for dinner/tapas and everyone loved everything we got. Even my kiddo ate everything I put on his plate and asked for more. There was great attention to detail in all parts of the dishes. All the people working were attentive and kind. I can’t wait to come back and try everything else on the menu as well as their lunch offerings!

Had an amazing experience here! We had many dishes and the combination of flavors and textures were so well crafted. The friendly atmosphere, the charming staff and the creative and palette challenging cuisine was truly remarkable. We will be back. Particular to note was the Tempranillo Riserva Red wine consciously priced at $48, the Almendrado, a beautifully sweet and savory manchego preparation that never disappoints. We had the Carne Brava, twice. It was so good. The two types of paella, offer a traditional Spanish preparation with either seafood or beef and pork, both were excellent. The gambas, or langostines, were among the largest I have ever seen. All in all, wonderful experience and you should try it. Casual, friendly, inexpensive and so very approachable. Love it!

What a fantastic hidden gem! We arrived for our 6 PM reservation and were seated at a corner table. You will likely meet several family members who will walk you through the menu, make helpful suggestions, and serve you the delicious dishes.
Our table of four were served the dishes one-at-a-time, allowing us to taste and enjoy each of our selections. We had such a great time and loved the different flavors of each dish, that we spent nearly three hours at El Bodegon.
The interior and seating was simple and not pretentious. Just a nice establishment that focuses on creating fantastic dishes. It was a great experience and we will be back again and again!

We had a fabulous experience at El Bodegon! The tapas menu was filled with unique dishes. Looking on the website helped us choose, they have beautiful pictures of each option. The plates were very flavorful and unique, my favorite was the cauliflower and I’d say I ltypically ean carnivore. Four dishes plus cheesecake for desert was enough to fill the two of us. The owner (and I assume his son) provided excellent table service. They were very charming and kind. Highly recommend eating here. Very pleased with our visit!

Perfectly attentive service.
Excellent selection of varied dishes, meats, seafood, vegetarian, and gluten free.
Many wonderful sauces, as well.
We are glad we made a reservation as, no surprise, it was very busy.

Bought take-out lunch yesterday and it was GREAT. Had a barbacoa de res burrito and a torta cubano. They were both very flavorful. Portions large, prices reasonable for what you get. Absolutely delicious.

The staff was friendly, the food was ready at the time selected when ordering. Definitely looking forward to getting food here again. Great, small local place.
