El Barrio Tacos & Tequila has a very welcoming environment! Everyone from door greaters and service was on point. The atmosphere is beautiful and open. The food was good, but could have just use a little more salt. But still not bad at all! It was alot of space and booths were comfortable. Bar area amazing! Outdoor was nice and seems to accommodate alot of guest. You could hold a conversation without music blaring in background. Music was good. Drinks where great! Our waitress Jill was amazing! Thank you will recommend to family and friends.

Food, vibe and service have us wanting to return! The restaurant was quite busy on a Sunday afternoon but attentiveness and food were perfection as we sat at the bar enjoying the atmosphere and modern aesthetic.
From the crafty cocktails, to the duck empanada appetizer and Molcajete entree for 2 (plus to go box/bowl), we thoroughly enjoyed our entire meal and can’t wait to try more!

Great dinner options with an easy to navigate menu, and whatever wasn’t listened on the menu our server had a helpful answer + recommendation for us. The service was helpful and attentive, and when our food arrived the flavor surprised us. The food was well seasoned with good portion sizes for the price. Next time we go me and my girlfriend will be trying the 2 person sized fajitas and we’ll probably have leftovers for later. Overall this is a great new spot for thibodaux and I see it lasting a long time with a successful outcome. Plus the atmosphere speaks for itself.

The food and drinks were great! Will definitely be back. More importantly they were so accommodating when I messed up my reservation and only reserved a table for 2 they were very helpful getting us a table for 4 instead! The spicy margarita could have been spicier but I like spice. Overall great experience and we will be back!

My friends and I visited here for the first time. The place was packed. Our waiter Ricky was very good. He was very attentive to our table. We placed our drink and food orders within 10 minutes of arrival. Drinks came at a reasonable time. The problem we had was that our food took over an hour. When the meals were brought out one of the orders was wrong. They brought out a chicken dish instead of shrimp that was ordered. Our waiter apologized and went back to the kitchen and returned with shrimp. Unfortunately the shrimp were cold. Not a good first visit .

I highly recommend that everyone gives this place a try! Great atmosphere (beautiful, clean and welcoming), delicious food and wonderful service. I enjoyed my afternoon with some friends there yesterday on the patio and we were not disappointed one bit. Anjelye was our server and she made our experience there very enjoyable. She was very attentive, super sweet,great attitude, and knowledgeable about the food. Not only did she tend to us, but there was another server (who wasnt assigned to our table) Lucy who was working patio as well who interacted with us, checked on us anytime she passed by us,and just her overall energy made us enjoy this experience that much more. Super polite young women, with welcoming smiles and positive attitudes. We will definitely be going back on the regular! Great job you guys, thank you for such a pleasurable experience.

Would recommend trying this place. The atmosphere was soothing with great lighting, music, and spacing. Felt like a perfect spot for food, drinks, and fresh air. We ordered a freshly handmade guacamole and the Molcajete fajita dinner for 2. Everything was garnished nicely and had great flavor. The carne asada, chicken, shrimp were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. Overall, this place is a great addition to Thibodaux, and is definitely worth some regular visits.

We had an excellent experience! Our server, Conner, was amazing — friendly, attentive, and incredibly quick. He made sure everything came out just right and checked on us often without being overbearing. The Mexican food was fresh, flavorful, and came out fast. Conner’s great attitude and efficiency made the whole meal even better. Definitely recommend asking for him next time!

What a wonderful experience from start to finish! From the warm welcome as we walked in to the beautiful atmosphere, everything was perfect. But Lucy truly made our visit unforgettable. She went above and beyond in every way—her recommendations were spot on, her personality was warm and genuine, and her attention to detail made us feel so well taken care of. We even went back, and even though she wasn’t our server that time, she still checked on us—and she even remembered what we ordered! She’s an absolute standout, and we can’t wait to return again.
