Bringing modern Mexican tapas and delicious craft cocktails to Long Beach’s Retro Row by featuring seasonal ingredients and innovative recipes. Chef Ulises embraces the many cultures that make up Long Beach and Los Angeles and uses it as inspiration to create his modern but still authentic Mexican dishes. He has created a tapas style menu that is meant to be enjoyed with friends and loved ones in our hip, airy space. We ordered our favorites to take home for dinner— taquitos de papa, hamachi collar, and ceviche de pescado. They were fabulous as always! We tried some new items too — pork chile verde and 4th Retro fish sushi roll—we’ve now added those to our list of favorites! All items were packaged well with sauces, cheeses, beans, etc,., and food was hot when we got home. We’re looking forward to the leftovers tomorrow!

We came here for a friend’s birthday. The food was a nice fusion Mexican style. However, we got the wrong order and had to argue with waiter that this was not what we ordered. So not impressed with Service. I came here before for events which were great and well organized. Bar service at those events was friendly.
Update: The staff is friendlier nowadays and they have a great Happy is great!

This one is a bit of a diamond in the desert. Mainly because it’s so difficult to get to. The area is local making it tough to find parking. But the food is amazing. Amazing. Cool paintings.

A small but quaint speakeasy with fabulous drinks and food. The music was average…sometimes we’d be listening to some upbeat EDM vibe music and then all of sudden you’d hear hard core metal which wasn’t keeping with the theme. Service was decent but they were slow clearing plates and glassware. Plan extra time to find parking.

I had my birthday dinner here last night and it was amazing!! We ordered the chile mango margarita pitcher for the table and I love that it was served in a beverage dispenser with a spout rather than having to fight ice to get the drink into a glass. The potato tacos were SO good, we got two orders for appetizers, the aquachile shrimp & then a round of tacos (the cauliflower esquite, carnitas, barria & carne asana) and every dish was mega tasty! It blows the other Mexican restaurant up the street on 4th out of the water. The service was great, she recommended many dishes & allowed us to take our time ordering & brought out a dessert with a candle for my birthday! I definitely will be coming back to try some other dishes on the menu

Stopped by for quick drinks. I had a wonderful time and the inside is so beautiful. The bartenders were so helpful and were able to check the drinks for what was safe for me.
