THE BEST Quesabirria tacos! Truly love El Barco and to be honest I go a couple times a week or more if I can. I grew up in the South around authentic Mexican food & highly recommend! They have non traditional too if that’s your thing- as well as Friday Fish Fry!

BUT WAIT- They now have a FRIDAY NIGHT FISH FRY TOO and its a great option to add into the small town experience. This is a small local and they have small town food but they really do try to be a festive place for the locals to stop in at. Good margaritas and fresh chips makes it perfect for a quick date.

Salsa and chips as expected,, I added the table habeneros sauce to bring it up to speed.
Tuesday has a drink special.. bogo on margaritas. The waiter insisted that was for small margaritas-not clear from the sign- and after a conversation the waiter realized the problem and solved the problem.
I took on the special… 4 tacos for $10 and my wife had seafood enchiladas. Both good in their own right. Perhaps the star of the show was the refried beans. Nicely done and well seasoned.

Absolutely delicious! The chips and queso were good, the queso as a bit spicy and had good flavor. I got the seafood chimichanga and it was superb! The flavor was amazing. My husband got the three amigos cheese enchiladas and said they were really great! He liked the green sauce best.
The server was very nice. We also enjoyed the atmosphere and music.

Only my 100th ok so maybe 50th trip to this restaurant. He started in Arcadia, now here and apparently a new location i haven’t tried. Locals say they aren’t giving him back. It may be Mexican but I promise the pizza you find anywhere else !!! Try the Stromboli or even the cheese curds. Most amazing margaritas !!!! if you’re reading this get in your vehicle and start driving you’ll thank me later. Beautiful town, amazing people, great food !! I love places that are clean…. on a Sunday you see a guy hand scrubbing the kitchen …? Better believe this is better than anywhere else ! The bill 100 for everything including drinks …. Good god the cheese bread i just can’t the carbs the deliciousness this is “Full and satisfied signing off “

Servers/staff are nice. Love the atmosphere/decor. Food is good, would be great to have more consistency with dishes. As far as taste, presentation and amount of food. Doesn’t seem like there is a recipe guide for the kitchen staff to make the same thing each time? May get a different thing when you order the same item more than once. I do enjoy that I can call in a pick up order or grab something to go.

We recently visited this restaurant with a party of nine. To begin with the positives: the food we did receive was not bad and generally enjoyed by our group. That said, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
While we understand that larger parties can occasionally lead to mix-ups, the level of disorganization and inattentiveness was beyond what we expected. We frequently had to ask for basic items—one drink, for example, took three separate requests and about 15 minutes to arrive. One person’s meal never came at all, despite multiple inquiries from different members of our party. Each time, we were told it was being looked into, but nothing ever materialized.
When it came time to pay, we were completely ignored by the staff, including the waitress, owner, and other workers. This was frustrating, especially after such poor service. Upon reviewing our receipt, we also noticed multiple instances where we were charged more than what was listed on the menu.
After waiting over an hour for a simple biscuit and an order of bacon—with no update or resolution—we ultimately left. There was no apology, no effort to correct the issue, and certainly no discount offered for the inconvenience.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The extra charges were unacceptable, and the service we received was both inattentive and dismissive.
