Great waitress! Told her boss so! We had margaritas and 2 gren corn tortillas, guacamole, and got 6 burritos to bring home! Was able to share a drink w a birthday girl upstairs. Great expierence.

The atmosphere is really cool, the view from the restaurant to the outside is very relaxing with tall buildings surrounding the view as well as a pedestrian active outdoor. Their customer service is amazing the staff was super kind seemed all like college students! I live in Arizona as well so I could most definitely tell that we are very far from Mexico and authentic Mexican cuisine since the food was sadly far from authentic. I don’t recommend coming here for an authentic experience but for a college student or someone that just wants to eat something then perhaps it may be fitting. I was recently in Mexico and live by a ton of Hispanic culture so that’s the only reason I’m very honest about the quality of food.

The salsa is really good with lots of spice and can be slightly spicy. The chips are decent. I wish for higher seasoned, more salt, and lighter fried chips.
The chef makes a light and good Topopo salad with nice base. Thankfully, the salad provides different flavor option and lots of fresh vegetables. I wish for a just as full salad with less lettuce. Also, I wish for slightly more vinaigrette.

Two floor Mexican restaurant in East Lansing (older look/feel). Complimentary chips and salsa is always a nice perk (salsa is pretty good, chips were a little harder than we prefer but still tasty). Party tried the spicy cheese dip which was decent (not much spice and was fairly thick in consistency). Also tried the steak tacos and the salad. Salad dressing was asked to be on side but the lettuce was already tossed in it and it was not something I would order again (too much vinegar and did not pair well with the chips & cheese on the bottom). Steak tacos were good (they are more “American” than authentic being served with lettuce tomato & cheese on top.) Coke products are always a plus. Service was decent. Overall satisfactory experience.

El azteco is a great inexpensive college town spot for tacos, quesadillas, etc. We went earlier in the day right when they opened and we sat upstairs on the patio. This is a perfect place to hang out in nice weather! The chicken fajitas were really good and the tacos were just okay. Chips and salsa were pretty good. The drink selection is great and had a wide variety of tequilas and beers! Go green!

Had dinner at the El, a restaurant that has been in East Lansing for a long time and my friend who had gone to MSU suggested.
The chips and salsa when you arrive is always a great touch to start with. The chimichanga was huge and very good. The inside could have been a little warmer but the dish was great!

Don’t know what happened, last time I was here was maybe a year or so ago, but there has been a dramatic dip in quality for the food. Way less flavor or depth, and my chimichanga was barely fried enough.
Staff was fine, but looked unprofessional, looks like they got rid of a uniform or dress code

This restaurant came highly recommended by multiple friends and friends of friends! They did not disappoint! Accommodations for our party of 10 were easily arranged. The food came out fast and the chips and salsa kept coming. My pictures are of the 1/2 size topopo salad which is named rightly for a volcanic mountain in Mexico. The cheese dip is a cold concoction which was also recommended but my kids preferred the queso- both are priced the same so get one of each to go with that salsa (which has a nice kick to it!) and chips.

Started with chips and salsa-can’t go wrong with that! Lots of good food! Drinks were okay- kind of small in size. Roof top dining was a pleasant experience.
