Great family-owned Mexican restaurant located near Grand Valley State University. The atmosphere is vibrant and colorful, with each table and chair featuring its own Aztec-themed artwork. You could easily spend time պարզապես admiring all the unique designs throughout the space.
The menu offers a wide range of Mexican favorites, from tacos and burritos to other classic dishes, along with solid non-meat options. Meals come out quickly, portions are generous, and everything is absolutely delicious. There’s also a full bar with spirits, wine, and beer, and the Margarita Tower definitely caught my attention for next time. With plenty of free parking and a convenient location near other local businesses, it’s well worth a visit.

Such an amazing Mexican place to eat!! They have great chips and salsa brought to the table when you sit down and the horchata here is seriously the best I’ve ever had! I got the Quesadilla Loca and it was soooooo good! Legit couldn’t recommend trying anything more from El Azteca! The Quesabirria was pretty good too. Definitely will be back soon!!

Such a charming place! The colorful painted booths and chairs made this restaurant feel authentic! The chips were crispy without being too thin and the salsa needed a little tweaking. We added salt, lime juice and a bit of pico. The salsa is not spicy at all but had a great flavor after our additions. I ordered a taco salad and my husband ordered the dinner combo, two tacos with rice and beans. He chose grilled chicken tacos. The food was some of the best we’ve had in the area. Being from Arizona we are picky about our Mexican food. This was very, very good. We had a great time and we highly recommend you give it a try.

The service was extremely good. They were busy and the owner told us they had a couple less servers than expected because of the Grand Valley football game, but you couldn’t tell by the service. They have a few TVs but some views are obstructed. I had the fish tacos and the Bahama mama. Excellent.

I have to give a big shout out to the whole staff at El Azteca’s, especially to the Owner Martin and Manager Gibson. We had a party of 40 people and they didn’t miss as beat!! We wanted for nothing! They did an amazing job taking care of us all. Drinks, food, all of it! Everything was delicious and fresh. I can not thank them enough for such a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend them for any occasion. Thank you!

The meals are served quickly and are absolutely delicious! Portions are generous giving you good value for the money. While the servings may look like a lot, I found myself making sure there were no left-overs!
A full-sized bar also serves many spirits, wine and beer. I was intrigued by the “Margarita Tower” and may have to come prepared to try it next visit (bring “helpers”).

3 weeks later ordered the same thing again, and it is absolutely amazing! 10 out of 10 would highly recommend to anyone The atmosphere is great the staff is great The food is delicious they clearly know what they’re doing in the kitchen

TLDR: a nice addition to the Mexican food roster in the Allendale area. Good food, good service, nice tables/seating/vibes.
We started with a Diet Coke and horchata- I always get one when I can . Chips and cheese come standard, and I also ordered the CEVICHE TROPICAL (Raw shrimp marinated in chili lime seasoning, mango, pico de gallo, avocado & chips.) It was super good.
We both got the THREE ENCHILADAS (Topped with red sauce. Substitution for green sauce available.
Make it a dinner add rice, lettuce, guacamole, tomato, sour cream +4.25
Add rice & beans +4.25)
I got the rice and beans and he got the dinner. They do offer vegetarian refried beans- not made with lard like most places! So that was awesome.

Great food, great selection, great drinks, great service. Clean and pleasant atmosphere, and the ladies noted the clean bathrooms! Oh, and great prices as well. Went during late lunch hours, and there was plenty of available seating.
