They are pricing themselves out of business. The daily “specials” were $7.99 plus tax two years ago, and a good value. Today the “special” cost me a whopping $16.99 plus tax. I think they even charged me for the hot sauce because my bill was $18.82. I have been a regular customer here for years; however, I have gone from eating here frequently to eating here occasionally as a treat. We are all painfully aware of inflation, but the price increases at this place have been outrageous. I think I’m done with El Amigo. No bueno!!

Wow just Wow, 5$ for tacos plus an extra 1$ fee for each topping (cheese, sourcream, rice) what kinda place does that. Especially charging prices like they do, the meat is super cheap. Del taco has better meat then they do plus El amigo 100% microwaves their meat. It came all stuck together in big clump like dog food. I dont even think my dogs would wanna eat this garbage. Paid 30$ just to get stale food plus hair in rice. The rice was stale and cold. There was 8 different crunches in the rice with a bitter taste. I wonder how much they really spend on their food upcharging 80% then Ramons or a real restaurant. LOOK AT THE RICE…..Clumps of stale

First visit, it was OK, I won’t be rushing back.
Price was good, $11 for a burrito and drink (a daily special).
I don’t understand why they added crisp tortilla chips, only to cover them in sauce, which made them soggy.
Recommended with reservation.

This is probably the best Mexican food place I’ve ever had! The taquitos are so good! I usually never review places, but this place deserves it! My boyfriend loved the enchiladas as well.

The Steak Picado & Eggs is very misleading. It’s legit pieces of meat with eggs together, it does not contain tomatoes, onions, or bell peppers which is what a steak picado is. I gave it a 2 stars because the beans and sauce were good but that’s it no flavor on the main entree.

Had the Ranchero Breakfast Burrito to start the day. A bit messy but tasty with fried eggs, and I think their huevos rancheros sauce. Beans and rice are also in the burrito. This is not a burrito to eat while driving. I liked that it was served with a small side of chips and their green or red salsa (I preferred the green).
They have a covered patio, which was perfect as it was already starting to warm up on a summer morning. They also have seating inside and a drive-through.
I would go again if in the area.

Review is for delivery: First time customer and will be back when craving hard tacos. My GF wanted chilaquiles, so we ordered the chilaquiles plate and two taco plate. Not what you would call traditional Mexican fare, but a mix which I am good with when craving hard tacos vs soft tacos. I saw some complaints about prices and I’m not in agreement with that. I thought they were fair, even though I probably paid more given most delivery app prices are higher than in store. Anyway, tacos had great flavor and lots of shredded beef. Came with beans and rice which was pretty good. I prefer my beans a little runnier and Spanish rice with more spice, but the flavors were there and fit the type of food i ordered. Chilaquiles was ordered with green sauce that had a kick to it with two sunny side up eggs, served with beans and potatoes. Was surprised about the potatoes, since the menu was not specific and my GF loves rice, but she ate from my plate so all is good. Potatoes could have been crispier, but my bad for not ordering them well done. But then again, had I known they came with potatoes instead of rice, I would have. The thing I liked the most was that they followed instructions for extra salsa, no onions with chilaquiles and pico on the side (because of the onions – my GF hates onions, but I love them)
All in all happy with the order. The one thing I would change next time is to dine in or ask them to vent the to go containers. The tacos and chips in chilaquiles were no longer crispy after delivery. Small changes will make a big difference next time.
