I had the Mexican Shrimp Cocktai. On a 1-5 scale I rate it a 4.8. Excellent sauce and texture with a generous portion of shrimp. Lacking on the onions and cucumber with no cilantro. Still nice.
Wife had the chicken taquitos on the lunch. Excellent taste and seasoned well. Not excessive spice. Just right.
Service was good for after lunch rush. Overall, Excellent place for traditional TexMex style food.

Although the Birria Tacos were some of the best I have tried, the service was a bit off putting…Place was warm with AC issues Im assuming….Service was terribly slow…didnt help after being in the SUV for the last 400 miles….Wife Flautas were good along with the rice….Chips, Salsa and Queso were OK….but when paying our bill we were asked if we wanted a receipt, which I normally don’t…and that was it…wife asked about a tip (on the card) it seems he added his own tip in? I pulled up what we were charged and it truly didn’t add up for what we bought…Not enough to be concerned….but total charge would have been less then if WE added a tip…I kept an eye on my account to make sure it didn’t change (go up anymore)…we eat out a lot…we are healthy tippers especially when traveling…So do yourself a favor and ask for you receipt…If he is self tipping sounds like he may have been screwed over in the past.

Food was good but once they take your order and drop the food off they don’t come back they are all watching tv instead of watching there tables also don’t ask for a Togo box or cup because they will charge a dollar per item also a few times if you pay cash the will just keep the few dollars also if I pay 4.00 for a drink and I ask for a refill I should not be charged when it say free refills I told my husband next time I will bring a container to take my food home in and I will just bring my own drink food is good very clean but seriously the customer service is horrible! When have been about 10 times now

I tried the Quesabirria tacos , and they were absolutely delicious. The meat was so juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—you can tell it was made with care. Every bite was full of rich flavor, especially dipped in the consommé.
The service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was top-notch. I would highly recommend El Agave to anyone looking for great Mexican food in Brownfield. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Truly a solid authentic Mexican restaurant. The tiny tacos were spot on with the perfectly season skirt steak, cilantro and onions. The chips are made in house and the salsa was beaming with freshness. The waitress was amazing and she checked on me from time to time as needed. I asked for hot sauce and she brought me out their house caliente’ that was hot enough to burn a house down. The beans had a great smoked flavor as well. Id recommend this to anyone who wants REAL Mexican cuisine

I got the Milanesa and my husband got the caldo res. Both were fantastic. Service was great, staff was friendly. Would highly recommend and will be coming back anytime we find ourselves in brownfield again. 1000/10!

Food was good.. we were regular customers but have decided to not go back, we are a family of 6 and they charge you additional service charge if your over 5 people so thats 20$ for one more person and the restaurant is never that filled up

I ordered caldo de rez and got a couple of pcs of meat which tasted horrible a pc of cabbage and a ton of carrots. The soup tasted bad. Called to complain n the man who answers the phone stated that it was bc the caldo was picked up an hr late. Wow! What a way to do business. Unhappy Xcustomer

We were traveling through town looking for a place to have lunch. Saw how busy this place was. Which is usually a good sign. And it didn’t fail us this time either. There were three of us, and we all agreed. This was hands down the best mexican food any of us had ever had. I will come back the next time we come through. Thank you for a wonderful meal and service.
