We didn’t wait long to be seated but it did take a while for us to be served. Food was good, satisfying, I think the salsa for the chips is bought not made. The table we got was dirty, the menu was dirty and the restrooms were disgusting.

Best Chile Reno I’ve ever had in my life. The posole is amazing the Birria tacos are on point in the sauce is phenomenal. The enchiladas are perfect. The drinks are a little strong, but I’m OK with that. The best Mexican food in the east Bay.

Friends invited us to eat at this Mexican restaurant, and wow! What a treat. The service was excellent. They arranged to seat our large group in the bar area for privacy, very nice detail. And for the food, it was superb and on point. Absolutely no letdown! Give this a try. You won’t regret it!

✔️ Service, Kind Of Slow, BUT, I’m going to need to acess on another day, I visited on Cinco De Mayo and the place was PACKED and busy, so I can only imagine how busy the kitchen was.
Drinks…. Disappointing
A Full Margarita Pitcher and we felt Nothing.
I do plan on returning though because the spicy shrimp with rice and beans was SOOOO good, I was up at 0135hrs, eating the leftovers

Great food, I eat here often. I was very surprised to see the receipt for $14.21 for Chips and Guacamole to go.
Disappointed with the quantity vs price. Especially if you don’t get a full container. Menu prices
for Guacamole and Guacamole both says $3.39.

This restaurant is a hidden Gem in Richmond , it’s one of my favorite places to visit whether is for happy hour or for a nice dinner it’s just a nice restaurant . The food is delicious and drinks are a must and let’s not forget the costumer service it’s fantastic. I totally recommend el Agave azul the food is delicious, my favorite dish is las enchiladas Rojas with chicken and the tasty red sauce with a side of bean and rice Yumm.

The food was good we were enjoying our food and time there but then they decided we were taking forever to eat our food and came to us three times to basically tell us to leave and kicked us out, my friend wasn’t even done with her food yet. (We would maybe understand if it was busy and there was no seats left but it was not busy and there were plenty of empty seats.) We ended up going somewhere else to sit and finish the food. Terrible experience.

Great new local spot. Very beautifully designed interior and exterior. Service was great! The managers and staff try to come around and greet everyone. Love the music! Full bar! Great for families too! Lots of options. While I’m sure management is working out a few kinks, I love this place and plan on supporting it’s rise!

El Agave Azul has earned it’s 5 stars rating in my book! It’s the classy, modern day version of what once was Gonzales, one of my personal favorites growing up. On top of being seated right away, their staff was friendly, the food was delicious, prices were fair and the whole atmosphere seemed to have a positive vibe all around. But what’s #1 on the list of excellence is that I didn’t see not one, not a single one of their staff ever on their phone! Customer service and satisfaction is their top priority. One table next to us during polite conversation about the food agreed the chicken enchiladas with Verde sauce, what I ordered, was amazing so we recommended it to the table on our other side. The one thing that I feel needs work on is their Sangria(Red), wine shouldn’t come with a straw. I’m all for fresh fruit when it comes to my drink but not when there’s more pulp then ice and less foam from shaking. Even still I’ll be recommending to everyone and returning soon!
