A year after my first visit and it was still just as good. The chicken chimi from the lunch menu was full of wonderful chicken, no fillers like beans or rice. The outside was nice and crispy with sour cream and guacamole on top. The refried beans were great and while I don’t particularly like rice and most Mexican restaurants, I ate it first, it was that good. The owner is very nice and attentive. I live about 6 hours away or I would dine here often. It is, however, a must stop when we are visiting Ouray and Silverton. My wife enjoyed the taco salad as well.

Great service, easy to order over the phone and on time. In a nice location. Overall with the two dishes, they were good but nothing that was necessarily making us crave coming back. The shrimp over rice was pretty good and great leftover as well. Overall, a pretty standard Mexican restaurant experience.

I didn’t expect to be wowed by items ordered off of the lunch menu, but…
I ordered the chicken chimichanga and was very impressed with the flavor of the chicken and crispiness from the outer shell. The beans and rice were very good as well as the guacamole and garnish salad. The chips and salsa were also good. My wife enjoyed her taco salad. We normally visit another restaurant that serves burgers, but this will be my new favorite spot to visit.

This was not a great experience. The enchiladas were greasy, I asked for no cheese and still got it, and my husband was told he could not have fajitas because they ran out of bell peppers. It was pretty expensive too!

Great margaritas & dinner! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at El Agave Azul with the family. We enjoyed our margaritas- multiple types from the menu! We had a party of 7 but each dinner was delicious! We had enchiladas, tacos, tostados, street tacos and taquitos. Each person enjoyed their plates and rice/beans. Will definitely return for dinner here – 10/10 recommend!

Everything was really good! The shrimp diabla and chicken diabla was nice and spicy, and the peach margarita was delicious! Staff was friendly and food was out really quickly.

We were a group of seven and got to order a variety of items off the menu. The Carne Asada was perfect, and most of the meals were plentiful. The atmosphere was good, clean and bright. (I don’t like dark lit places.) They have three sizes of Margaritas, their medium was larger than most other regulars.
We had a great time and 2.5 hours passed with joy. This is a definite ‘Must Go’place when we pass through Ridgeway again.

My husband and I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, it really missed the mark. Our server seemed totally uninterested from the start—disengaged, unenthusiastic, and not at all focused on creating a good experience for us.

We’re both vegan, so we ordered off the vegetarian section and asked for no cheese. My husband got the vegetarian burrito, and I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas. When the food arrived, we were disappointed right away. The rice was overcooked and lukewarm, the beans had no flavor, and both dishes were filled with frozen mixed vegetables—peas, carrots, and green beans. Nothing tasted fresh, and those vegetables just didn’t work in the context of a Mexican meal.

To make things worse, the two meals were essentially identical—one wrapped in a flour tortilla, the other in corn tortillas. There was zero variety or creativity. The chips were stale and lacked salt, and honestly, everything we tried was just bland.

The bill came to $67 for two forgettable meals and subpar service. For that price, we expected a lot more care and quality.
