I almost didn’t go here based on other reviews about it being a hit or miss restaurant. But I’m glad I did. Because they had great service and delicious food. I must have experienced a “hit” night. Leon S. was my server and she was awesome. I’ll definitely go back!

The first visit was ho-hum. The second visit was I should have learned from my first visit. I did not get a refill on my coke. I have a digestive problem and only wanted a hamburger. What I got was a hocky puck with cheese on a bun. It was very disappointing. How could a child eat one? We were charged for a second serving of chips and salsa. If the cook didn’t know how to use a can opener or a microwave, nothing would come out of the kitchen. It was a unanimous decision for my family of 8 to never go back.

We have eaten here a few times and I don’t know that we will be back again. The food is decent to good, the atmosphere is cheerful and fun, but the service is hit or miss and last time was a miss along with some slightly disappointing food. We also wish they would clean up the outside of the restaurant which has tiny plastic bits of the flags they hang up scattered everywhere, as well as some plastic straws and garbage.

First time eating at this restaurant. Food was excellent and very fresh. Chips and salsa were great, could taste the cilantro and had a smoky flavor. Chips were not greasy. Ask for the house hot sauce/salsa, very good. All the meals we had were tasty, and there was a lot of food. Margarita was disappointing, seemed like it was missing Tequila and was too sweet (That is why the 4 star rating). Next time I will get a beer. Will definitely eat there again!

Food and service was amazing. The michelada was very good I ask for less tomato juice and they made it perfect. Botana appetizer was delicious. I don’t like onion and ask for onions on the side for my husband and they did it. Again food was delicious. Definitely going again. I recommend this place.

We live near El Agave and consider this our go-to neighborhood restaurant. Don’t feel like cooking? El Agave. Power out? El Agave. Running late and need food fast? El Agave. The food is always delicious, especially the carnitas. And I could survive on their rice and refried beans. Service is always perfect. Try this special place!

The restaurant was very nice. There is outside seating so that was nice. The waitress could have been a little more pleasant and friendly.. Didn’t smile or engage with the customers we noticed. The food.. Hmmm wasn’t impressed. Could have been because it was authentic Mexican food and we are so use to eating it from those that try to be authentic. But anyway not putting it on my return list today.
