El Agave 4

I loved this place. Don’t let the humble appearance from the front decieve you. The food is GREAT! I had the tropical fajitas and they were delicious. My nephew had the tacos and they had such good seasoning on the meat. Even the fries were really good, better than a lot of fast food. They were really crispy but with a perfectly soft inside. Everyone was happy with their meal and we will definitely be back. I’m really hoping this place stays around for a long time!

The Bealeton El Agave is the best!! This restaurant has the best margheritas I have ever had, and I’ve been to some very high end Mexican restaurants all over the country! Love the food here as well! Always excellent service!

We stopped here for lunch on our way to VA Beach from Pittsburgh and man was I happy we did! The food was soooo good. I have been to quite a few Mexican restaurants and this one had variety to the menu with unique items and the food all had a kick to it but was not overly spicy. Margaritas were really good too. I don’t understand the 4.1 rating. I thought this place was very good.

The staff was very friendly as soon as we walked in. Two thumbs up for the chips and salsa. I ate way too many and also ordered too much food, not knowing the generous portion sizes. Not the greatest fish taco I’ve had. Overall, we had a good experience.

Tonight was not their night. Taco Salad with grilled chicken in the Taco Bowl. Once received the bottom of the taco bowl was filled with “refried beans” that looked like mush gravy, topped with shredded lettuce, cheese, and chicken. As soon as I took the first bite I was disappointed and told the server that it was a hot mess. She didn’t apologize, try to correct the order, or offer an alternative. She just said next time maybe get the black beans. The items were drowning in mush gravy. Totally disappointed and disgusted by my food. Asked for a box to take home and feed the animals outside. Yes I paid full price for the food and tipped as I was once in the food industry. Just plain disgusting!

Tried El Agave for the first time tonight and was SO plessantly surprised. I had their quesadilla birria, guacamole, and a lava cake. Everything tasted fresh, excellently flavored! Will have again

They have some good food choices but the margaritas don’t taste right they are missing something I also had to go straight to the bathroom after and next day I think they put laxative in my food
