I place an order via phone during dinner time and carried out my order. I ordered a taco salad and the taco shell tasted like the smell (cleaning supplies) of the restaurant. It was very weird. I did not the eat the food, the food should not taste like anything but the ingredients. I ended up throwing the food in the trash just to be safe.

We ate here while visiting family, looking for a traditional Mexican-American restaurant, and this was it. Chips were served quickly and the salsa was tasty. I judge each Mexican restaurant by their steak tacos and the tacos here were well seasoned and tasty! The guacamole tasted as if it was just on the edge of turning, otherwise everything was great. We would definitely go back.

I went to dinner here last night and will NEVER go again or recommend it to anyone else. The food was expensive and I can deal with that if it was worth it. I ordered a large frozen blue margarita and it was the nastiest drink I’ve ever had, I think something was seriously wrong with it. My friend had a different flavor that was great! I asked if they could bring me a new one and the man brought me a menu and pointed to the bottom and said “did you not read the menu? It says no returns, ALL sales final on alcohol” I didn’t ask for my money back, I asked for a drink that I could actually drink. Lastly, they brought me my ticket and I took it from the waitress and a few minutes later they were talking bad about me behind the register (the friend with me has a Hispanic spouse). This was the worst place.

Good service and good food. Chips and dip are some of the best I’ve had, they don’t under-stuff the burritos like I’ve had some other Mexican restaurants do. Definitely my go to in clanton

A group of 6 went for dinner recently. 4/6 agreed it was the worst Mexican food they have tried. One ordered wings, and the other 1 is just polite. A churro was overcooked, so the inside tasted funny. The beef was bland with an odd texture. The chicken in the queso tasted off so only a couple of bites were eaten. The wings were overcooked, but the BBQ sauce was good. It’s hard to mess up store bought BBQ sauce. The two that ordered a chicken queso both felt nauseated within the hour. The waiter was very rude. A guest asked for red sauce and was brought a clear orange colored cold sauce. She tried to explain that wasn’t the sauce she wanted and he told her that was all. Who wants a cold sauce poured on your hot food.

I live in Atlanta & was passing thru due to work and I decided to try this Mexican restaurant. Very clean place, nice employees, and also the best part the food was GREATT! I order 2 chicken tamales w/ cheese & 2 Mexican steak tacos . The meat was very tender with both . The tamales wasn’t dry & full of favor. I really enjoyed their homemade salsa . If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely stop by again. Thanks for the great experience guys .

Gave up on it not long after it opened and decided after a couple years to give it another try. It was the best Mexican food in Clanton. Top 3 favorites in Chilton Co, Daddy’s Thorsby AL, this one and the only one in Maplesville. So so good. This one has items on the menu that I haven’t seen at the others.
