123 is a solid 4.5
Being Texans and well versed with Tex Mex, these were the things that stood out to us: The tortilla chips were hot. The shell for the taco salad was crisp. The flour tortilas were spot on. The taco toppings were fresh. The salsa bar was top notch on variety and fllavor. Our family would go there again.

Tex-mex flare taco and salad bar. Id recommend this restaurant especially if you don’t want spicy but some flavor. Very affordable Friday night we paid $13.50 for each adult. Very very reasonable. Beef steak shrimp pork salad rice beans salsa…worth the money and visit

I walked in. The host was having a nice conversation with a customer. Very normal and cordial. When it was my turn I approached the stand and her smile turned to a look of judgement and she dismissively said hi then looked down at her desk. I asked if I seat myself or not. She incredibly rudely said, “No! Give me a second!” They weren’t busy at all the place was basically empty. I wasn’t rude at all. Was so disgusted with her attitude and behavior I just left. I don’t know if she was just judging me based on my appearance or if she just doesn’t like men or what but it was completely out of nowhere, uncalled for, unprofessional and I will never return. Ridiculous.

First visit. Cool vibe, pleasant service. I tried the Taco Bar. It’s certainly worth the price. There’s pork al pastor, chicken or shrimp fajita, stewed chicken, and seasoned ground beef. There’s cheese quesadillas, soft tacos, hard shell tacos, and taco bowls. There’s beans and rice and an extensive salsa bar and a salad bar with fresh veggies and cheese and sour cream and such. Items were fresh and tasty. We will return.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the owners of El 123 Tex-Mex. Raymond, his wife, his daughters, and to his restaurant staff. They catered food for my sisters wedding at Highlands fellowship church in Bristol Va today and it was absolutely remarkable! They came in the night before the wedding late in the evening to setup at rehearsal to ensure everything would be ready for incoming food the next day. This family easily catered food for 50-60 people at a great price. The food was the best Mexican food you could get in Bristol. It was, hot, fresh and the smell lit up the room with the scent of 100 percent authentic Mexican food which made everyone’s mouth water and await anxiously for an amazing meal of everything from a chips and salsa bar to tacos, taco bowls, fajita mix and so much more. If you ever crave for some of the best tomahawk steak and potatoes one could imagine, Raymond has absolutely mastered the art of it. The tomahawk steak was truly some of the best beef I’ve ever had. It was so tender and flavorful that you will just have to put in a special request and try it for yourself but Wow, you will for sure be speechless and stuffed by the end of the meal. I highly recommend this for any and every catering occasion because I promise, if there happens to be any leftovers, people will be arguing over it. Raymond and his beautiful family do an awesome job with the catering service ensuring the food stays filled as well as having a staff member on hand for a very professional experience. Please please please go try El 123 Tex-Mex no matter if it’s for catering or simply for dinner, you won’t regret it!!! Also, sorry for the pictures of after everyone had their way with the bar, I meant to get photos right after setup but didn’t get a chance. I sincerely thank you Raymond!!

We had a really good lunch at 123 Tex-Mex today. I had the lunch deluxe steak burrito and my wife had two street tacos. Food quality is very good. I didn’t try the buffet, but it looked like a good variety. The atmosphere was very authentic and the service was very good. Salsa was excellent.
Please give me a thumbs up if this helped you. Thanks!

Was eager to try. Walked in at 830 pm , they close at 9 pm power the sign. Waited 5 minutes to front before we finally said “Hello?” A server finally came over. We asked if they were open and she said for another 20 minutes. Asked if we could still eat and she shrugged her shoulders. What does that mean? We asked does that mean we can’t eat or not. Again the shrug. Cool cool. We left and walked down the strip to Wasabi, dropped $150, and had a wonderful meal with attentive service. Skip this dump

I’ve only visited El 123 Tex-Mex once and I ordered off the menu. I had a shrimp dish and a chili relleno. Both were quite good. The buffet looked tempting as well. I believe the owners were there the day I was there and that’s always a good sign. The service was excellent, the beer was cold and the place seemed very clean. I’ll definitely be back!

We absolutely love the food here. Best Mexican restaurant in Blountville or Bristol, that we’ve been to. With the lunch menu and sweet tea we paid about 25% less than our other favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The taco bar looked great but we got the enchilada suizas and the chimichanga. Husband even ate his side of rice, which never happens. Awesome cheese sauce, thick chips, slightly zippy salsa.
Jordan was awesome

We love this place! If I was rating it on my last visit, it would be 2 stars but we go here often and 9/10 its always good. This last time we all (group of 6) had cold food and the snobby waitress. Shes the short one with the Bob haircut….try to avoid her. If you can get the other one, she’s great! Our waitress (Bob) rarely checked on us, we had to holler at the other one for refills. We told our waitress our food was cold and she just said “yeah I dont know what happened) and walked away. $130 for cold food!!!! She offered no discount no apology NOTHING! We will make sure to always ask for the other server.
