I really was excited to check out this spot in Rockville.
Pros; good location..well decorated and restaurant with ample space. Service not bad as well

Cons: I think the menu needs a revamp..in an attempt to be fusion it fails to deliver a core theme: good African food
The native rice was hard and could have used a bit more seasoning. Beef Suya was somewhat tasty but so small and was cold upon arrival
Wings were ok..really your basic wings
My friend ordered a ginger ale..it came out tasting like water..flat
Got the agege bread pudding dessert..just regular bread pudding with 3 measly scoops of ice cream
Didn’t understand why there were chicken tenders and mac cheese on an African restaurant menu..it was just all over the place
I may return to try the peppersoip but honestly I was not impressed and this menu needs a complete overhaul

I had dinner here last night with a large group & ordered family-style platters of various dishes. Everything that I tried was so good! My favorite dishes were the Joloff rice & goat soya. 10/10 would recommend it! Don’t forget to try the Moloue cocktail. So good

The ambience was great and the waiters were helpful and professional. Large TV screens to watch sports events. There was a live performance which enhanced the experience. However, the food was lackluster in taste and really did not impress me and several others on my table. Better tasting food will make this place an all round entertainment center.

First the atmosphere was nice, but as excited as I was to come here, I must say that the experience left me very disappointed. I came for an event and understand special menus but the rates for the portions served were exorbitant. There is no reason this small portion of ayamase should cost $33. It took an hours to get water and another 2 hours only for my food to come out cold. This is unacceptable, I will not be back.

Delicious! My girlfriend took me here to experience Nigerian food. We got the beef suya, stewed goat meat, and jollof rice, superb! Just the right amount of spice and according to my girlfriend very authentic, the rice tastes just like what she makes at home. Would also recommend the mocktails. We each had one and they were like sparkling juice sodas, very unique and paired with the spice great. Also, very classy dining room and it wasn’t too busy. Would definitely go back.

It’s the best Nigerian restaurant I have ever seen. The setting up is nothing but Afro mixed with European taste. Great concept .

I just left there. I’ve never been before. Great food! It was plentiful! Great servers and service and great location with it being in the Rockville Town Center. I didn’t pay for my food so I can’t comment on price but I do know that the tip is included on your check but you can always add more.

This is one of the BEST restaurants in the Washington DC area for a birthday party or group dinner! It’s in the town square with free parking evenings and weekends, near the metro and has plenty of space for parties as big as 150 or as small as 6. The food is excellent and they have really interesting signature cocktails. If you’re a spicy food lover like me, try the asun or pepper soup. The Eko rice is also a must-try staple thats mild. These are my top picks and I look forward to going back soon!
