I ordered the Pork Belly Ramen soup. $13.50 in January 2026. Soup beef broth had lots of flavor . The delicious pork was braised. The meat was tender and fat melted in my mouth. Mixed with that were the noodles, shiitake mushrooms, green onion, white onions, spinach onions, seaweed and soft egg. Big portion! I will be coming back here to try out their other dishes and I’ll update the review.

I come here all the time, and I am pleased each time I’m in. Never had a bad or even mediocre experience! The ramen, salads, sushi, bentos, street food, it’s all good! The takoyaki is especially tasty. They will always be timely and treat you well. Worth your time and hunger.

My mom and I absolutely love this ramen house! They always take the time to prepare our ramen exactly the way we like it, paying close attention to every little customization we request — truly down to a T. It means so much to us that they listen carefully and make sure our bowls come out just the way we enjoy them. On top of that, they consistently surprise us with extra Milk Cakes and steamed buns whenever we order, which makes the experience even more special. The generosity, attention to detail, and amazing customer service keep us coming back. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and thoughtful service!

Second visit to the place and just not impressed. Had the Bang Bang Chicken this time and it took a while as they cook orders on a first come first server so I waited probably 12-15 minutes. The lady who takes orders and brings your food out is very nice and pleasant. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting around and was somewhat dry, as the second picture tried to capture. You would think if you waited that long they would be cutting and seasoning the chicken and cooking fresh, but what semi fast food restaurant does. Anyway, the first visit mine was okay but my wife did not like hers. I wanted to give it a second try but just not impressed.

Friday afternoon, my wife and I tried EkiBen House  right next to Little Caesars Pizza and behind Metro Diner at 19400 Cochran Blvd Unit #2, Port Charlotte. It’s kind of tucked away and hard to see, but it is well worth checking out.The first thing we noticed when we walked in is that the place is spotlessly clean.  It’s not a large place with only about 10 tables.  The ordering counter is straight to the back and slightly to the right.  They have paper menus at the counter, but you can also look on the wall asn they have their most popular dishes displayed. One thing to note, their menu is extensive and they have several proteins that are prepared about the same way, but displayed differently.  It will take some time for me to understand all this since I am unfamiliar with Japanese foods. As far as I can tell, this is pretty authentic fare.My wife does not like much spice, but ordered the honey chicken with sweet and hot sauce.   She ordered the sauce on the side.  I ordered Beef and Broccoli.  However, I like hot and spicy food and the server suggested some hot chili oil, which was a good call!  BTW, the service was GREAT and the staff was very friendly and helpful when we had questions.  I also ordered the Miso Soup and some fried Gyoza (I’ve never had that) They also gave us some free apps of a couple of spring rolls and a couple of dumplings of fried milk.  Never had that either, but it is TASTY!  In fact, everything was great.  It was not oily and if anything, if kind of was a little but bland.  My suspicion is that is how Japanese food is, and to spice things up, you would put on their sauces.  They have more than we tried, I just have to get used to what they have. We will be back!  The portion sizes were large and the price was VERY reasonable.  Like us, I know you would like it if you tried it.  It is definitely different from Chinese food, but that is a GOOD THING when you want to try Japanese cuisine. Check them out.  You will be happy you did!

Stopped in for the first time yesterday after craving some beef bulgogi, the staff was really nice and patient with me while i looked around the menu and the food was so good! I ordered a beef bulgogi bowl and tteokbokki (which i can never find anywhere in town) I also got a beef bun and it was so soft and delicious, not hard on the bottom like buns you’d get at the store. everything tasted amazing and the service was great. This is my new favorite place 🙂

Decent place. Good amount of food for the price, definitely. It was very quiet and quaint when I went; I like the parasols hanging from the ceiling.
The food quality was adequate. Not bad by any means, to be sure, but not quite the same as some other more expensive options here. But if you just want decent food at a good price, this is the place.
As well, for the picture. That’s the “Hibachi special” with white rice + spring roll.

So we haven’t been here in awhile. My husband and I thought we would check it out and try it again.
Well. We were both not impressed we both got chicken meals. Both of our chickens was like rubber. . A few pieces I had to spit out. The salad was ehh. Ice berg with ginger dressing. The only thing I kinda like was the spring roll. the rice was just rice and the lo mein was kind of tasteless We were there an hour and not one customer but us came in. Made me kinda wonder. How is this place still open. It’s season too ! Won’t be going back. That’s for sure

This was SO GOOD & SO SATISFYING!
The lo-mein is always sauced perfectly, the teriyaki sauce was tangy but smooth, and the salmon cooked to perfection, crispy but flaky and not fishy like some other places!
The spring roll and sushi were on point too!

The ginger salad is the BEST part!
I have nothing but POSITIVE things to say about this place!!

I ordered through DoorDash & had it delivered in under an hour !
