I really wanted to like this place because the food can be good when it’s right — but ordering online has been consistently frustrating. About 75% of the time, I either receive something completely different from what I ordered or I’m told after the fact that they “don’t have” an item that was clearly available on the online ordering system.
If an item isn’t available, it shouldn’t be listed as available. It’s disappointing to place an order, pay for it, and then end up with substitutions I didn’t ask for or missing items altogether. It feels disorganized and makes it hard to rely on this restaurant when planning a meal.
Accuracy and communication matter, especially for online orders. Until they fix their ordering system and inventory management, I can’t confidently recommend ordering from here.

I purchase from this place the same thing over and over (All-Nighter Egg Sandwich), however, I am very disappointment that for the past weeks they keep burning the food and also missing the spread that the Sandwich suppose to come with.
Also, I always order online (app) with plenty time in advance and when arrived to pick up the order, most likely I’ll stand there for a while to get the order.

I Couldn’t do no Stars!! SANTEE ALWAYS FAILS!! I visited many times . Half smeared bagels !! This is why La Mesa and Rosecrans has the best reviews !! Santee needs to change management .

Super fresh bagels and really great service as well!
Went in to pick up 2 free bagels I got for taking a survey on a previous order, and they didn’t even ask me to show the email with the confirmation or anything!
Cashier was super nice with making a recommendations. Really great conversation and he even went and just picked up a bagel He recommended for me so I didn’t have to wait in line when I wanted to get an extra (after realizing that I had another discount on my account).
All the bagels were soft to just the right amount. Not rock hard like you get it. Some other places. Super fresh even the next day.
Got the Asiago, Pumpernickel and Ancient Grain; all soft and nice.
Used them to make breakfast sandwiches at home and they came out so well.

Best breakfast bagels ever!!! My family and I would love one closer to home which is in la mesa El cajon areas ! This place never fails. Best customer service and always clean . I would recommend more seating though but other than that . Phenomenal

All the girls there were very nice and accommodating, but the older guy there was just flat out discriminating against me.
I went to this place for breakfast and asked if they had any dairy-free options. For reference, I have long hair and so I look like I’m trans. The old, short dude with white hair instantly snapped at me and said “No!” He didn’t even try to find anything or ask anyone if there were dairy-free options. So i had to step out of line and ChatGPT if there were dairy-free options. Turns out like half the menu of bagels is dairy-free and they even have vegan options. So then I had to go back in the line and an older lady took my order and the employees changed their gloves and tried to avoid allergens for me. Then the dude wouldn’t even make eye contact with me the entire rest of the time I was in the store because he knew what he did was wrong and just didn’t care. That’s not how you treat people, whether they’re white, black, brown, gay, straight, or even trans. Everyone should be treated the same. I’m going to make sure I never spend my money at this business ever again.
