I had a disappointing experience here this week. I wanted to pick up a sandwich, and realized it was a few minutes away from their closing time. So I called and said that I knew they were about to close, and asked whether it be alright to order a sandwich. They said yes and that I should come inside to pick it up. I was already in the parking lot. I am currently very pregnant and was clearly struggling with that plus holding a toddler when I came in the store. Additionally I asked for a peanut butter and jelly on a bagel for my toddler. The employee acted as though they had never heard of a pb & j, despite it being listed on the menu. Instead of appreciating my business, as I was leaving an employee gave me a “friendly reminder” to come in earlier next time. This was annoying and insulting, as I had acknowledged it was closing time when I called and asked if it was alright to order something. They could have easily said no instead of letting me order and then shaming me, a 9-months-pregnant woman with a toddler, for coming in close to closing time. Two stars because the food was fine, but the service and employee manners were lacking. I’ll be avoiding this location next time.

I order delivery from here all the time, probably every week, and it is always on time and delicious! Consistent great food and service every time. The fast service keeps me coming back and the different styles of bagels and sandwiches are awesome. I may order the same thing every single time, but anytime I branch out it’s equally as delicious! Highly recommend the entire menu and this location!

Very slow service❗️. I ordered ahead so I could quickly pick up and go. Nope. Food wasn’t ready even though it was only 2 bagels. The employees had a friend hanging out there keeping them company I guess. That’s why they didn’t get to my order until I arrived very annoying ‼️

The person who was making the bagels was extremely rude to people and talking to them in a very hostile way and he was also speaking his staff in a horrible way as well. I have a feeling that at the boulder 28th location it is a very hostile environment to work in.

Thrilled that this central location opened up again but they are always just closing by the time I get over there. They used to be open til 5 pm. Even staying open til 3 pm would help. I would go weekly to buy a dozen bagels plus sandwiches if they didn’t close so early. Our whole family is frustrated by this limited schedule. How can they pay rent at this central location and have such limited hours? I will say that in the past the service was terrible the last hour of the day. I hope they will train their staff to be fully available to take care of customers until their closing time. Cleaning should take place after closing. Ignoring customers, saying that the slicing machine and coffee machines are closed down for cleaning an hour before closing is just…. lazy. Hope they can make changes and welcome back their biggest fans and customers in the near future.

Worst bagel store ever. I had Einstein bagels in Boulder years ago and they were fine. Went this morning and it took almost 45 min. with a light crowd. Got the bagels home and the apple cinnamon bagels weren’t cooked more than halfway done. Almost raw dough in the middle. No one in charge and staff wandering off when they felt like it. I’ve worked in NYCity, lived in NJ and know bagels. I’m sure that if there is a bagel store in Iowa City or Juarez they’re have better bagels and the staff is better organized. Oh, and ONLY about $15 for four very minimal bagels – cream cheese, un-toasted. Never again.
