Came in for some bagels, hot chocolate and a coffee…4 people in front of me…in line for 10mins. Once the lady in front was up to be serviced, I waited patiently to be acknowledged and 3 workers passed me by and passed me up. Totally ignored me. Stood in line for a total of 10mins alone at the order area of the counter…no one in front of me and no one behind me…and still no acknowledgment from any employees…
I simply turned around and walked out…
Unfortunately, had to settle for 1 of your competitors…
We must do better…
The cashier was super friendly and the ladies behind the counter were so nice. They even let me borrow a sharpie to write on my boyfriend’s bag.
The sandwich I got was a Biscuits and Gravy sandwich (which has neither biscuits nor gravy) but he loved it. He said it was absolutely amazing and that the country pepper smear made it taste just like biscuits and sausage gravy. He also said his mocha was delicious and the extra shot of espresso gave him the energy he needed. Service is always wonderful and they do well with larger orders, especially if you give them a heads up the night before (which is just the nice thing to do.) Plus ordering on the app is super easy, though customization is limited but their standard fare is pretty darn good.
While attempting to order a bagel sandwich this morning, I was ignored by no fewer than four employees stationed at different areas of the counter. I stood unacknowledged for an uncomfortably long time until one staff member, wearing a face mask, finally addressed me. Unfortunately, her first words were mumbled and unclear. When I politely responded with “Pardon me?” she abruptly and rudely shouted, “WHAT DO YOU WANT?”
I tried to proceed with my order, only to be met with continued rudeness. Before heading to the cashier—who also ignored me initially—I asked the original staff member if I had somehow interrupted her, as her tone and behavior clearly suggested that I had. She offered no apology or professionalism in response.
It’s disheartening to encounter this level of disrespect, especially when it seems to only occur in the absence of management. There’s a noticeable difference in the way customers are treated depending on who’s supervising.
While I will likely continue to visit due to the convenience and the quality of the food, customers and ownership alike should be aware: the service here can drastically shift from courteous to outright rude depending on who is working and whether they’re being held accountable.
