Ms.Eileen’s Soul Food is absolutely so delicious!!! Her and her staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is always welcoming. You get such a good portion for the price and always reminds us of homemade cooked meals!! I definitely recommend going here and supporting her business

I discovered this restaurant via Google. I ordered the fish ‘n shrimp entree. The collards, mac ‘n cheese and cornbread was delicious! The fish and shrimp were seasoned and fried to perfection. I’ve saved the restaurant information in my phone, so the next time I am in town, I will visit again.

Great food … I had the salmon with some Mac and cheese and potato salad and a piece of corn bread. Eileen makes some amazing desserts too. I had the banana pudding and it was delicious.

Stopped in today with the family after a day of fishing, the catfish, shrimp,collard greens, wings potato salad and mac n cheese were all excellent, oh and I cant forget the corn bread. Definitely recommend stopping in and trying their food we were very satisfied, and the staff were extremely friendly. Definitely recommend all the way around staff, food all of it.

I went to this establishment and ordered a catfish dinner and a catfish sandwich. I returned home and learned that my fish was raw in the inside. I contacted the restaurant immediately and was told to bring the food and I explained I live 45mins away. The host took my name and number and stated that the owner will contact me. After 24hrs no one contacted me. I called the restaurant and the owner was given the phone after explaining the situation she stated that no one told her about the fish or that my name and phone number was left. The owner then stated that she can give me another meal and I expressed that I was not comfortable eating from her establishment. She stated that she cannot offer me a refund but she can give me a new order. I continued to express that I wasn’t not comfortable eating. The owner then hung up on me. I called right back and someone else answered. The owner is very nasty as I’ve been told and lacks customer service. Please think twice before eating from here.

The food was out of this world. Everything was freshly made. There were desserts in the fridge. OMG!. The cornbread was my favorite. I went back and bought a few more pieces to go. There was an area to sit outside. I dont know what else to say but you have to try this place.

Ok to start off the food was mediocre at most ordered the oxtails platter with double Mac and my girlfriend ordered the fried chicken platter with Mac and yams. The oxtail wasn’t properly seasoned what’s so ever the browning was def off it’s just looked like boiled oxtails and Ik they are but like in water. The carrots looked dry and the yellow rice didn’t complement to the meal it was more of a Mexican rice with Caribbean food.
The macccccc was literally the worst thing I ever had in my entire life, I’m just not sure what’s in it to make it that bad. Nice consistency but it has this peppery flavor to it which taste like it’s supposed to be spicy and after a couple bites u just wanna throw it out.
My gf did like the fried chicken and nun else persay the yams wasn’t nearly touched and the Mac…. Anyways I personally go all around trying the best food in Jersey, That’s was the worst restaurant should just go to It ain’t just Fish 2 mins around the corner I only came there because it ain’t just Fish was closed there’s only one good thing I could say is the pricing ain’t bad for for horse tails on Spanish rice. Wasn’t much going on so when I walked in the owner was chilling eating next to the lady at the register I greet I ask do u have and before I could finish she said menu right there no smile no eye contact straight face she looked annoyed to be making money. I proceed grab the menu then ask again because I looked at the menu in the car do yall have buffalo sauce to accommodate the fried wings then she said no in a calmly matter, but only started getting lil better customer service after she asked is this yall first time and where did yall hear from us at which I replied TikTok. But to conclusion 0/10 was upset that I wasted my money would I ever recommend just go somewhere else .

My husband & I had the pleasure of dining in & I’m glad we did. We met Eileen the owner & yes she cooks everything on the menu. The boneless beef ribs absolutely delicious and tender. We couldn’t get enough of the cabbage, collard greens, mac&cheese & cornbread. I forgot to mention the potato salad it’s absolutely a must have. Although this was our first time at Eileen’s it definitely isn’t our last.

Me and my partner have been to this establishment twice so far,consistent on the flavor,I had boneless beef ribs,Mac n cheese collards,potato salad cakes,banana pudding and the lemonade, everyone is friendly and even the customers,I will come here over and over ,it’s like eating at home ,thank you Eileen for making delicious fresh food…..your friends with the red shirts.
