We were out wandering around trying to find a place we hadn’t eaten before and wandered into Eighty-Three Vietnamese Cuisine. We were immediately greeted by the extremely charismatic owner who enthusiastically explained their small rotating menu.

We tried the fried soup dumplings, the pho, and the short rib platter. All three were incredible, but the Pho was simply out of this world. From our table we caught a few glimpses of the kitchen where the owner’s mother herself was cooking — and boy, can she cook.

We were not at all prepared for a chance encounter with one of the best meals I’ve ever had. This place is genuinely a ten. How lucky we are to have them in C-U.

Holy COW. You have to eat here. Get the pho or the pho-rench dip sandwich. Best meal of my entire life. Pictured is the soup dumplings, bao buns, and pho. This should be the only place you eat out. Every time I come it here it feels like the first time <3

I recently had my first experience at Eighty-Three Vietnamese Cuisine, and it was delightful! As soon as I walked in, Wayne greeted me with the most infectious smile. The positive energy from the staff created a lively and joyful atmosphere that was truly uplifting.

I opted for $30 worth of food, and the self-serve style made it easy and convenient. I grabbed my own silverware, chopsticks, and napkins, which added a personal touch to the dining experience. The restaurant itself was immaculate and had a spacious, quiet ambience that made for a relaxing visit.

The menu was visually appealing, filled with beautiful pictures that showcased the offerings. I highly recommend exploring the entire menu—everything looked delicious, and I can’t wait to try more on my next visit! Overall, it was a fantastic experience that I would encourage everyone to enjoy! – Royalty ✨️

Where do I even start at?
From the food, to the staff, to the nicest lady in the back whipping up some of Vietnamese food that takes me straight back home.

I came in to have dinner and was swiftly greeted by staff, I tried their recommended Pho with a huge beef rib, And their starter Spring Rolls with their house-made sauce.

The spring rolls came out beautifully and packed with shrimp, lettuce and pork. There was also a secret crunch in the middle that gave it the perfect balance. Paired with their house-made sauce, it completely leveled the whole dish. It was a great recommendation and I recommend you to try it as well.

Their Beef Rib Pho surprised me, Usually I tastes the broth and adjust accordingly; yeah no this broth didn’t need any adjustments. The broth was rich and very tasteful. The amount of garnishes was great and all of the veggies were sliced to perfection. That beef rib was so tender, It paired well with everything. Another great recommendation and I recommend it to you.

Did I mention the Hanoi Beer? You should definitely give it a try. I believe it is the only place in town who carries it.

To conclude, I definitely recommend you to try Eighty-Three. You can tell they take their time to curate their menu. Everything is labeled and explained, from starters to wine selection. It’s a tight but very well balanced menu. It’s one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the state and local area. Amazing food, Great Staff, and a cool environment.

Amazing food! Loved everything! the Pork Belly Banh Mi sandwich was fantastic and rivals ones I’ve had in NYC! The Rice Plate with roast pork was tender and delicious. This place also has the best Pho around with plenty of meat, meatballs and noodles! Crab Rangoon and egg rolls were great but you gotta try the Pork Buns! Absolutely succulent with a diverse mixture of flavors that all come together for a beautiful taste! Will definitely be returning!

I love this place! Fresh, high quality food that is so tasty! I’m addicted to their spring rolls and the Bhan Mi is second to none; crunchy, zippy and savory. The curry chicken is delicious and more than I can eat in a sitting.

Update: love the pho! Tried the wonton soup tonight and I don’t know how anyone can make something that delicious!

My partner and I stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant on a rainy day and the food was absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection and the Pho broth was phenomenal. The service was very friendly and professional. We will be coming back at every opportunity. =)

This place isn’t authenthic Vietnamese at all. Came in by myself once just for a bowl of pho and it came with no toppings at all. The broth was filled with fat and overall too dark. The price for everything was outrageous. Personification of gentrification of a very beautiful cuisine.

Spring rolls are great, especially the peanut sauce. Pork belly buns, soooo good, buns are very light to contrast the pork-fatty meaty, vegetables add texture. Best menu in C-U during restaurant week. The pork, crab, tomato soup is the best dish I’ve eaten this year.
