The restaurant consists of two connected rooms…a massive bar, some seating and two small, well worn, pool tables in one room and a hodge podge of tables and chairs in the other. The look they were going for is hard to pin down…sophisticated shabby eclectic low brow maybe? There were several patrons there but only one kitchen staff and one wait staff so we didn’t expect much. We were thoroughly surprised though. The appetizer, chips and salsa, came out almost immediately and were delicious! Our burgers came soon after and they too were top notch. Not exactly what I expected from the “smash burger” description, but excellent nonetheless. Our (and the only) waitress was amazing. Even with a large group and a few other diners, nobody was neglected.

Had an altercation happen when I walked in a couple days later and they informed me I was banned for 30 days. Proceeded to ask for the owner to be contacted and camera footage to be pulled the manager called the bartender from that night instead of getting the true proof. Was one of my favorite places until this. The other party was the aggressor and all I asked for was the physical evidence that I was the one that made contact with the bartender and got met with the refusal of camera footage of the incident and basically told it is what it is while the other party was not banned. My partner was banned as well when she didn’t do anything. Will not be back ever. (Mind you the aggressor was a man and I am a woman who got assaulted first and just defended myself)

The place is cool and laid back. We had onion rings that were perfectly seasoned thin and crispy. I had rolled brisket tacos that came with chips, salsa and bean dip. My friend had chicken street corn tacos that had chips, salsa and bean dip also. Everything was tasty and would recommend.

TX Twinkies and Deep Fried Taco Balls are a must! Staff is attentive but not intrusive. The only reason I didn’t give a full 5 starts is it was just so quiet, no music or anything. (Lunch)

The bean dip, queso, and salsa were all so good. I had the fried fish plate, which wasn’t on the menu, but was suggested by our server. It was awesome! The fries are some of the best I’ve ever had, and the fish was fried perfectly, and the side salad was tasty! We ordered drinks after the food and they were made very well! My margarita wasn’t too sweet, or too boozy. Our server was super nice, and took very good care of us! We will definitely be coming here again! Definitely worth a stop when you’re in Sulphur Springs

Had high hopes for this place but it didn’t quite make me or my husband want to revisit. The food was okay but nothing to talk over and over about. It being a Friday evening we expected it would have a little more life in the restaurant but we were the only ones besides the staff sitting around at the bar and a couple kids running around in and out of the kitchen and dining area. No dining music in the background just a rather large industrial fan blowing fan sounds and no cool air in return. Very hot and stuffy atmosphere. The waitress came by a few times but wasn’t very welcoming. Almost as if we were an inconvenience to her since nothing was going on in this place. So sad, but we are hopeful they get better as time passes. Maybe one day we will give 84 another try.
