We recently tried Eight Square, as we used to love Shio, which was previously located here. The decor no longer feels authentic, but we felt welcomed nonetheless. The staff here is wonderful, and they pay attention to detail. Where they shine is their drinks – the espresso martini is huge, and blended perfectly.
As for the food, they have a combination of Chinese and Japanese appetizers and entrees. We split a few things to determine our preferences, and some were fabulous while others fell short. I recommend sticking to the Chinese selections as the sushi was quite dry. Our favorites included the Crab Rangoons and General Tso’s Beef. Overall, if you are looking for average Chinese takeout, Eight Square fits the bill, but it isn’t worth going out of your way for.

First time here and had an excellent experience. Food was good with good portions. I love how they serve you water in a brass cup and give you your own water pitcher. Waiter was extremely nice as well as other staff.

Absolutely the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. Incredibly fresh with high quality ingredients, definitely will be our new place.
Was there for a work gathering so food was plentiful. The dumplings were so well prepared and fresh, crab ragoon was light and tasty, and the spring rolls were crispy with a flavorful rich filling.
Our waitstaff was hilarious, accommodating, and efficient. Drinks were on point and Wendy the owner is a true restaurateur.

Love this new Chinese restaurant. Immaculate and clean dining place. Very friendly staff and owner. Food is delicious. Pork dumplings and monster sushi are my favorite. Will be back to try more.

My boyfriend and I decided to try out this new restaurant and I’m so glad we stopped by! We had amazing apps and sushi rolls. The drinks were also great and served with very cute garnishes. Service was friendly and I definitely recommend giving them a try!

We went to eat as a group and the experience was okay for me. It was quiet and the male server was very nice and attentive. The food was average IMO, I like the sushi better than the Chinese food. The Chinese food we ordered either had too much sauce or too bland (Beef Chow Fun). The Angel Eyes sushi was really good and I think we will go back only for the sushi next time.

Wendy took wonderful care of us at the bar. The sushi was delicious along with the crab rangoons, edamame and sashimi appetizer. The espresso martini was crafted with fresh espresso and whipped cream. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I went in tonight and sat at the bar and had Wendy serve us. She was absolutely the sweetest bartender! She makes delicious drinks! Our food came out super quickly and it was scrumptious. We even loved how quiet the setting was and that the music was instrumental and not loud. We will be back for sure!

The food is excellent! Even though it’s a little bit pricey. But the quality of ingredients makes it worth it.
The staff is incredibly friendly and kind and attentive.
Yeah atmosphere was great. It’s very relaxing and romantic. They went all out with their Halloween decorations which was fun.
