Tried this place out tonight. I heard from family that it is amazing. I love the decor and vibe of the place. Menu looked like it had plenty of tasty options. They are either short staffed or that is how they do things. Drink refills are conducted by going downstairs to get them. My family enjoyed their meals but weren’t thrilled by them. The staff was cool and friendly. We only interacted with the staff when we ordered, and when we went to get our refills. I rated everything 3 stars because of the whole experience and processing it through my mental restaurant filter. I like this place but will have to try again before I would recommend it to others. I don’t think you will have a bad time or bad food here. It’s good, but I’m going to try again to fully form my opinion. (Our bill came to $99 -4 people) I feel that is a tad high for our experience.

I ate hear with some coworkers recently and was flummoxed to find that – in addition to a $4 fee for splitting a plate – there was a $1 fee (each) for splitting a check. Additionally, the cost of the food seemed pretty high from the get-go. Most items are $20 or more. Also, if you want fries with your burger, that’s an additional charge (the burger and sandwiches come with soup, salad, or coleslaw at no additional cost). Just to note, this experience occurred when it was not on a particularly busy day nor on a day when they had live entertainment.

If you can only eat one meal in Sandpoint, I suggest Eickhards. Friendly atmosphere. Wide range of beers. They recommended the Lewis and Clark miner’s gold beer. It was perfect. The salmon artichoke dip with baguette was zesty. The salmon sandwich was vibrant and tasty.

Of the multitude of fabulous food finds Sandpoint offers, Eichardts is by far and away my go-to and is the thing I miss most about living in Sagle. Garlic parm fries with their house made tartar backed with a blackened chicken ceasar and extra lemons. Trust me on this one. You need no other sustenance for survival. The crew is delightfully cheeky one and all, they have a Hella eclectic yet consistently talented grip of musicians roll through if you’re looking for entertainment but cone early because it’s standing room only once the music starts. Now get your butts down there please so they can resume pre covid hours and I don’t have to plan my runs to Sandpoint so precisely.

If you are staying in Sandpoint make sure you stop by this gem of a drinking hole. No fancy cocktails but a great vibe. They have canned cocktails, great beer selection, wine, and friendly faces

We visit Eichardt’s Pub every time we go to Sandpoint – and we’ve always had a fun time sitting at the bar. Their salmon artichoke dip is delicious – in fact, everything we have tried is good. They have a great beer selection and the owner is a blast to trade stories with. They even have original local art on the walls. We all agreed the bartender could be nicer. She was so unbelievably snarky and contrary, we had to laugh. Part of the charm?
