I wish I knew this was so close to me sooner! Service was great! The food came out fast and it was good. They have gluten free option and Turkey options. And the prices were comparable. Would recommend going for a cool upscale diner feel. (And they made my daughters pancakes into Minnie Mouse…so cool)

Nice spot. Very clean and the the natural sunlight made it very inviting. The food was good and there are a lot of options. The only thing to be aware of is while the service is friendly its very slow. It seems they have their wait staff doing a lot of tasks which keeps them behind the counter rather then be on the floor.

This is my second time coming here, and this place does not disappoint. The man guy behind the counter calling out orders like Peyton Manning. The food will not let you down. I could tell the servers were new, and they still did excellent. Egg Benedicts are amazing, along with the shrimp and grits.

I ordered the waffle sandwich with a fried egg well done, extra crispy bacon but got the complete opposite. It was tasteless. And this little thing was $11.00 with no sides or drink! I will never eat here again

Love this place, hands down my favorite breakfast/brunch spot on this side of town. Food is amazing, staff is always super friendly, and has a beautiful interior. My only complaint is portion size can sometimes vary. “The Grand Classic” is in my humble opinion the best breakfast deal, dollar for dollar, in the Greater RVA area.

My husband and I have eaten here twice, and it was eggs-ellent both times! We are so happy to have an outstanding breakfast/ brunch/ lunch place so near to home. The food is great! Poached eggs come out perfectly; waffles are crispy on the outside and fluffy inside; bacon and country ham are perfect; patty sausage is spicy and tasty; grits are just right. You can get burgers at any time. The menu is extensive for a mostly breakfast and lunch establishment. I haven’t tried the shrimp and grits yet, but I intend to next time, and there absolutely will be a next time. Husband loves it too, and he is hard to please. Service is wonderful – friendly, fast, but not intrusive. The restaurant is well-lit and clean. No problems at all, and the manager circulates in case there are. Tons of parking, easy to get in and out of the parking lot. They didn’t have their liquor license on our first visit, but they were expecting to have it soon. I didn’t ask today, but their menu has a variety of brunch style drinks listed (and maybe beer but I can’t remember for sure). We used to love Metro Diner before they closed, and this place is similar. Great!!!

I went to breakfast with my friends on Saturday 8/26/23. They insisted because they had a great experience at the restaurant on vacay in another state. Well I was not impressed. I ordered steak and eggs and also the shrimp and grits bowl to go on recommendation The steak and eggs meal at the restaurant was fine, nothing impressive, pretty average. But the shrimp and grits to go… omg … just awful. It’s like they didn’t finish cooking it. I understand that restaurants will parboil and then finish when ordered. Well it seems they served it parboiled. The grits were runny and not done and therefore not creamy. I can honestly say the worst shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. So sad.

Wow! First the staff is amazing , they are the fastest most efficient crew I’ve witnessed anywhere. The food is amazing , the banana pudding french toast is breakfast and desert combined. First time but definitely not the last time!

This past Saturday morning, I went there with 2 of my brothers. My brother Ray, who happens to be black stood there for 10 minutes with no greeting from a hostess, or even a waitress saying “sit anywhere.” Nothing, until about 3 minutes after I walked in, then the waitress yelled out “just sit anywhere, guys!”
