Decent little spot, was fairly crowded noon on a holiday Monday. Portions were small, tiny little sausages, barely two bites each. Grits were bland. Eggs were ok. Sausage gravy was ok but biscuit was Hella dry. Nothing to brush back for.

I dined here recently with my daughter. After several visits to Eggs Up, I had learned about their official rewards program, Smile Society, which sends you coupons via text. I had received a text for a blueberry muffin and was excited to use my coupon. I ordered the Southern Staples and a blueberry muffin on the side. The biscuit and gravy was good, as well as the blueberry muffin. However, when the bill arrived, I was informed by my waitress that this location doesn’t participate in the Eggs Up Rewards program, which is unfortunate. That being the case, I will have to visit some of the other area locations to find one that will allow me to take advantage of the rewards club benefits.

I’ve been here a few times over the years and typically have a decent experience. Today, not so much. I ordered a cheesesteak melt with no mushrooms and no Swiss. When I received
my “melt” there were no onions or American cheese. The server took it back to have them “remake” but when I received it, it was a cold slice of cheese split in half and a few onions on top. They didn’t even attempt to warm it up and make it a “melt”. The sandwich was ice cold and I was truly in disbelief. Totally disappointed and really expected and hoped for more. Manager didn’t even come to the table to speak with me. I use to enjoy this place so I’m hoping they get it together

Entry area is cramped and confusing as someone else mentioned, since there’s not a specific check-in stand or queue. However, the decor and atmosphere was pleasant and it kind of has a diner vibe, so we had high hopes upon being seated.
The menu looked promising but it literally took 30+ minutes after being seated before we got checked on by anyone. They seemed short staffed and I know the place just opened recently so I can cut them some slack, but was questioning my decision to come here since my kids kept asking when the food was coming and saying they were hungry. I also noticed many open tables yet a crowd of people waiting to be seated. I assume that maybe because they were short staffed they weren’t seating all the tables. It seemed like there was some confusion over who our server actually was supposed to be, but waiting 30 minutes to even put in a drink order is problematic. Once someone did come over though, she was very nice. After placing the order it didn’t take that long to get our food (maybe 10-15 minutes).
The food itself was tasty and reasonably priced. Nothing out of this world, but good standard breakfast food. I would give it another shot but maybe after a few weeks, hoping they work out some of the service issues.

Our Cafe mochas were delish. I ordered the ½ waffle, eggs over medium w/turkey bacon. The waffle was ok but the eggs were cooked perfectly. My daughter liked her biscuits n gravy plus she got the cinnamon swirl french toast w/bacon. I tasted the csft & that was very tasty. Ratings: Food 4.5 (waffle) Service 3.5 (server may not have had much experience working in a restaurant) Atmosphere 4.5 (lots of natural light but our table was sticky). We will give it another try because the menu has several choices and has turkey bacon & turkey sausage. (I have A-gal & can’t eat red meat) and I loved all the natural light in the restaurant.

The food is always delicious! Although it’s pretty packed consistently, the customer service is excellent and the wait has never been excessive. The portions are adequate. There are variety of options so there’s something on the menu for everyone.

We came in with a party of five on a Sunday around noon. Even though they were busy they were able to see this fairly quickly. Our waitress Trinity took our drink orders and then took our food orders. I had ordered the corned beef hash and it was delicious. It was not oversalted. All the other meals were good. The only thing we all wished was that the food was served hotter. Everyone’s food was served lukewarm.

My siblings and I have a 2 year tradition, of meeting here for breakfast, once a month. The Cinnamon French Toast is ON POINT and they always make my two eggs, (on the side, “over medium”), perfectly! The Sausage Patties are delicious with zero grizzle. The staff is always efficient and super friendly! My ONLY complaint is, if you get a table with a chair, (the booths are very comfy), the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. We try and get there before 9:00AM to get a booth, just so we don’t have to sit in those chairs. Other than that, this place is PERFECTION!

This place is worth a trip to Midlothian. Bark and Sparkle is next door, which sells Fromm’s pet food. So a late Breakfast/ Brunch is always on thr agenda when we stop by this shopping center. There’s also an Asian Massage Therapy center there, that does head water massages. The trio of venues is the trifecta of a great start yo a day!
