TOTALLY lived up to the hype! This legendary Chinese food restaurant will not disappoint!
FOOD> The egg roll was crispy on the outside and the filling was so perfectly seasoned that I think putting any sauce on it was almost unnecessary. Then I had the sesame chicken with brown rice.
SERVICE> You order at the counter, but the food came out quickly. The gentleman who took my order was friendly. The food was hot fresh and now!

I would genuinely choose their tofu yen su jee as my final meal. With fried rice. So delicious, flavorful, and just perfect. Huge portions too. Definitely the tastiest Chinese/Taiwanese spot in Columbia. Makes me wish I still lived off of Devine Street!!!

The food was piping hot. The service was great. I’m used to more sauce in my beef broccoli. The egg rolls were decent. I like the duck sauce in the packages better than the homemade sauce they sell. It took about 15 minutes for my food. There’s plenty of seats in the dining area and plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot. They also have a pickup window that you can drive up to. Their hours are a little strange but it has something to do with staffing I’m sure. I’ve had better Chinese food but it was a decent meal at an affordable price.

Five stars for everything for a solid Chinese lunch spot. Easily the best Chinese we have found in the Columbia and Irmo area. Sesame chicken and house fried rice was exactly what I’ve been looking for. Better than Sun Ming. Would definitely recommend.

Y’all!!! When I tell you I found my new favorite Chinese restaurant, holy eggroll! The last time I had a favorite Chinese restaurant was in Texas 13 years ago! I came here at the recommendation of someone I met out of state; they said they come here from out of town when they can. If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out. It’s out of main traffic, so you might be passing it by as I was. Plenty of seating. Quick and amazing service. Handicap parking and ramp to get inside.

I’ve been eating here since i was a little girl because the food here is always fresh, seasoned JUST right, and the flats were so good I had to show the internet how tender they are. The staff is friendly, the portions are perfect, and the flavor never misses. If you love good wings and fried rice, this spot is a must-try. South Carolina girls, y’all already know!

Egg Roll Chen has been mine and my families favorite Chinese takeout restaurant for the past 20 years, no others in Columbia come close. Excellent food for excellent prices, very fast and quick service. We usually get takeout but the inside is nice and clean if you want to dine in.
