Got the paneer butter masala for take out here and it is way too oily. We got it as Indian spicy which the spice level didn’t disappoint, but apart from that the gravy has no flavor. The rotis were also nothing special. Definitely better option for indian take out

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so awful I feel obligated to warn others. I ordered their pav bhaji, and it was absolutely disgusting – the smell was pungent, and the taste was worse. It was inedible and clearly not fresh.
When I called the restaurant to raise my concerns, instead of being apologetic or helpful, they started arguing with me! I politely asked to speak with the management, but they refused to let me talk to anyone in charge. Completely unprofessional behavior.
This kind of food and service is unacceptable. I’ve attached pictures so you can see for yourself. I will be reporting this place to the Department of Public Health.
Avoid this place at ALL costs.

My very first time ordering delivery from Eggholic was a huge disappointment. The restaurant management did respond and encouraged me to give them a second chance, so I decided to try again.
This time, most of the food was actually good except the Pav Bhaji — once again, the same issue as before.
While my more recent visit was definitely better overall, the Pav Bhaji still remains a consistent disappointment. If they can improve that dish, the whole experience would be much more enjoyable.

First experience:
I decided to order from Eggholic after seeing good reviews, but I was very disappointed with my experience. I ordered the Pav Bhaji and the Samosa Wrap. I specifically asked for extra cheese in my wrap, which I was charged for, but there was no cheese at all inside.

As for the Pav Bhaji – the name itself suggests you should get pav but instead, they served it with regular white bread. The so-called “bhaji” was just an oily curry of potatoes and peas, with no onions or anything on the side. It felt like a careless, unauthentic attempt at a dish that should be much better. Overall, very disappointing — definitely not what I expected based on the reviews.

Absolutely horrible food prompted me to write my first google review for any restaurant.

Ordered the paneer masala sandwich and the egg bullet curry (can’t remember the exact name).

The bread for the paneer masala sandwich tasted stale. And the paneer was so chewy it felt like I was chewing rubber. I get they don’t make the paneer mix everyday but if you’re charging $12 for a simple sandwich, I expect fresh-er ingredients. Horrible sandwich for an exorbitant price.

The egg bullet curry was so awful it felt like they forgot the masalas. All I could taste was boiled eggs, spring onions and oil. For $16, this dish was beyond terrible and I’m surprised it even made it to the menu. This was my last time ordering from this restaurant.

This restaurant is a nice casual spot to get food – with a variety of meat and vegetarian options. We got a veggie grilled sandwich and a chicken masala sandwich which was an interesting take on the original dish. My sandwich was salty but overall good. The Samosas were just okay.

The girl at the counter was so incredibly nice and accommodating. I went with my best friend this past weekend on our way to the airport and we didn’t realize it was smaller restaurant. She made sure we could sit down, luggage and all.

I ordered the mango mastani and it was SO GOOD! the paneer masala sandwich was also great! I definitely recommend this place!

I come to Chicago once in a while and this is a staple. I order the same thing over and over again and it never disappoints – omelets with rotis and chai at the end. I love the fact that this is EXACTLY as advertised and nothing more or nothing less. Takes me back home when this was my daily breakfast. Can I make it at home? Probably. Would i rather go to a different state where Eggholic is and eat this there? You bet i will. I have no input on anything else lol, but the omelet+roti just tastes like home and that’s just a personal preference.

(Also want to shout out to the interior decor team for their creativity with the very cheesy and very on the nose quips on the wall and on the serving sheets – they’re fun and lighthearted and creative )

The only feedback I can give is that the chai can be a bit warmer? But it doesn’t really bother me, soo ‍♂️

We loved it here, the food was absolutely delicious! I could eat the chicken masala wrap everyday until the end of time, super duper flavorful. The chai, the amdavadi touch sandwich and the egg bhurji are also a must try. The pani puri was just okay, wouldn’t try again. Service was great and very quick. Limited sitting inside.

Ordered a delivery: the butter chicken was not spicy and very unflavorful and super super oily, I poured the oil out of mine that’s how much was there also the meat was huge super unappetizing looking. The rice and parathas were good. Will not be getting or recommending.

I had high expectations based on the reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered pav bhaji, and the quality was so poor that we couldn’t even finish a single pav. We ended up throwing the entire meal — an absolute waste of time and money.
I sincerely request that you please preserve the authentic taste and richness of Indian cuisine instead of altering it . True Indian food, when prepared with its original flavors and methods, is inherently delicious and needs no compromise.
