If you’re on the hunt for a charming brunch spot, look no further than EggCetera Cafe in Mokena. Nestled in Downtown Mokena near Metra’s Rock Island stop, this cafe offers a delightful blend of tasty dishes, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
**Delicious Dishes to Savor**
Start your day with their **Avocado Toast**, a perfect balance of creamy avocado, fresh greens, and a hint of citrus that elevates the flavors. It’s not just a meal; it’s a wholesome experience.
For those with a sweet tooth, the **Crepes** are a must-try. Delicate, thin, and topped with fresh fruits, these crepes are a must try!
And if you’re in the mood for something hearty, the **half order of Biscuits & Gravy with eggs Sunnyside up** is the way to go. The biscuits are fluffy, the gravy is rich and savory, and the eggs are cooked to perfection, making it a satisfying and comforting dish.
**Ambiance and Service**
What sets EggCetera Cafe apart is not just the food, but the entire dining experience. The service is incredibly friendly, with staff who make you feel like part of the family. The cafe itself is clean and inviting, with a quaint ambiance that makes it a perfect spot for a leisurely brunch.
Weather permitting, I highly recommend grabbing a seat on the porch. It adds a relaxing and enjoyable touch to your meal, allowing you to bask in the pleasant weather while savoring your delicious food.

Anyway , the coffee is phenomenal. Eggs are perpetually fluffy, salty enough and fresh.
A minor inconvenience at best, but there is a train station walking distance from this quaint cafe.
Which can be noisy sometimes , otherwise provides ample, safe transportation for people. Whether you’re local or riding the metra through the city, consider stopping by and at least grabbing a coffee.
After we paid the check at the table (love the tech they use so they don’t have to take your credit card away) the waitress even refilled our coffees, which usually doesn’t happen in my experience. Once I pay the bill I’m usually pushed to leave at other restaurants but not here. Very nice and would recommend.
