I think the food is really good and if you only like hard boiled eggs ask for the poached eggs extra done and it’s the same thing. It’s like a throwback country diner. One thing I would caution…if you’re on a budget, the regular soda cost $3.50 EACH! A family of four people ordering soda cost over $15 per family. They serve ice water up front. Good large country sausage links.

The Egg Yolk Cafe have a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. Ms. Shirley, and another young lady waited on our table, and they were awesome- they were very pleasant, kind, accommodating, and courteous!
I ordered the Blueberry Hill pancakes with grits and eggs…The pancakes were okay; unfortunately the one on the bottom was burnt and I could taste the burnt flavor – the eggs and grits were good.
This establishment is pleasant… We had a chance to sit by the fireplace,
which was nice and warm, and it added coziness to the atmosphere. It’s a nice size place but I see that the place gets busy around 8:30 am, and fills up fast.
It’s a decent size parking lot, and plenty of space to park.

Nice cafe well outside downtown with good parking out front and more in the back. Friendly staff and decent brunch options. Prices are a little high, but serving sizes also run high, so you won’t leave hungry. I found the quality of the food to be a bit average, with the highlights being the home fries and sausage. The specialty pancake order I got was good, but completely lacked the orange glaze in the name of the menu item. That said, we will definitely come back.

Used to like this place, but past couple years its been on downhill slide. Ate there yesterday and, unfortunately, think it will be the last time. Prefer to support local, but their food is mediocre at best. Monte Cristo was generic white bread, cheap pre-sliced ham. Hash browns tasted like day-old commercially processed diced potatoes heated up – no seasoning, no peppers or onions or flavor. And not sure what they do to their sausage links, but every time they’re overcooked, dried out. Looks like fossilized poop. The staff is friendly and efficient, but not looking to charm anyone. Overall, the place feels “meh,” like everyone is burned out – just going through the motions with no joy, excitement.

Cute diner type breakfast spot in a nice area by Moe’s. Service was fast and friendly. The food was decent, nothing crazy but tasted fine and was affordable. Your only coffee option is house brewed coffee, fair warning. The French toast was good and the pancakes kinda tasted like funnel cake and they had turkey sausage as a non pork option.

Super friendly staff & good Food! Surprisingly reasonable prices!! I will be adding this one to my Faves. I’m looking forward to trying other menu items but when I saw turkey sausage AND home fries on the menu it was a done deal! I got my sandwich on toast but they have plenty of other options and Smoothies.

Their Biscuits and Gravy are OUTSTANDING!
We came here with a group of 7. They did a great job at sitting us down quickly (busy Sunday brunch). Got us our drinks within a minute and took our order soon after.
As I said initially, the biscuits and gravy are amazing! I love biscuits and gravy in general, and they knocked it out of the park here at Egg Yolk Cafe.
Amazing service amazing atmosphere and really brought the local feels with the chalk board!

Came here after being out of town for the better part of the last year. Being home for Thanksgiving, I can say most, if not all, of the same waiting staff still work here. They are just as pleasant as ever. and it was enjoyable to see them again. The omelet and sausage and potatoes I tried were amazing. I can’t wait to come back for another good meal.

Great breakfast at a decent price. They don’t skimp on the ingredients for their breakfast burritos, and mine was cooked to perfection. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

Easily the worst and most expensive breakfast in town.
I got the daily special for 9.99 with an added egg and upgraded my pancake to a sweet potato pancake with a black coffee.
-The eggs were runny
-the sausage was barely warm and dry- which meant it was cooked and just sitting
-the home fries were cold.
The total was just under $24.00 for all of this. They charged me $6.00 for the upgrade on the pancake and $3.50 for a single egg.
It’s best to go to first watch or somewhere else for that kind of money.
