Just get here. They’re serving up absolutely amazing food, so fresh, excellent ingredients, and clearly made with love. We tried the brisket fries, which were loaded with super tender brisket and cheese, 2 house made sauces and lots of Pico, and avocado. The chilaquiles were bright, and fresh, the skirt steak, fork tender, and so well seasoned! The ribs were also great, house made bbq, and pull apart, but not quite fall off the bone. The seasonal veg was a surprising standout, with brocolini and carrots, carrots so good that even though I dislike cooked carrots I found myself wanting more. Ube cheesecake for dessert, not positive this was made in house, but it was still really really good! Thanks for a lovely dinner!

We have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time. Unfortunately we picked Veteran’s Day and it was packed. Our server was friendly, helpful, and informative, but the service was very slow, I’m sure due to the number of people in the restaurant. I also believe our food was sitting on a warming table or in the kitchen for a while because it came out not as hot as it should have been, and the fruit plate with my veggie omelet was fairly pathetic. The California croissant with the potatoes and avocado was excellent.

Around 11am almost all tables full but was immediately greeted and put on a list. Waited maybe 10-15 minutes. Orders only took 10-15 minutes to come out. Tastes excellent. Zero complaints for my dish. Fiancé’s dish – the meat was bit tough (3.5/5) but I would come back.

We wanted to try this place for a long time! We were in the area, so decided to give it a try. Got there right when it opened, very few people were there besides us. Prices are high, but isn’t everything? I ordered a scramble with sausage and bacon. Hubby ordered pancakes, bacon and eggs. Everything was good. Service was good too. Fun place with lots of fun decor. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Small town rest with their own vibe. Be aware – front parking have only 4 spots, but they have extra lot right across the street. We tried regular hamburger and mt.Adams burger – both are delicious

We had the pleasure of grabbing a quick breakfast at Egg River Cafe yesterday.. it’s one of those places you’re not quite sure about when arriving. However, parking was difficult to find so we took that as a good thing. The cafe was packed. We were seated at the very last available table.
For a little place their menu was extensive. I decided to go with smoked salmon eggs Benedict. It really was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was very flavorful and the salmon was not too “smoky.” The balance was perfect for me. To offset the richness I asked for fruit rather than hash browns. While waiting it’s fun to take in all the chicken decor… And it’s a lot! They are everywhere.. including the rest room!! The cafe is small but there is some outside seating. Plus surprisingly they have a well stocked bar.
Our check was really reasonable.. something like $42.00. We did not have drinks so I’m not sure what they’re priced like. Anyway, give this little place a try, it’s well worth getting off the road for!

Got seated promptly around 8.30 am on a Sunday. Good selection of breakfast items – got the chicken chilaquiles – they were willing to swap biscuits and gravy for hashbrowns. Portion sizes were generous. Coffee was organic and tasted good. Good service.

Egg River Cafe is a relatively unassuming location from the outside, but when you walk in you’re greeted with a warm and friendly staff who serve exceptional food. As a ‘nomad/passerby’ traveling from a business exposition in Portland, OR — the best decision I made this weekend was choosing to save one of my meals for this ‘hidden gem’. Chai, our server (hope I spelled it right) had the best customer service the industry has to offer. Good customer service is uncommon; great customer service is rare; but perfect customer service is exactly what we received when Chai was helping us. He was patient, kind, courteous, thoughtful, and truly gave an amazing experience worth stopping for. I hope his efforts are recognized and praised. Lauren was also terrific! Thank you for a memorable experience and we look forward to dining in on our next trip out west.

One of my favorite “on-brand” places. Love the consistent egg theme. No frills, charming (like Grandma’s place), always a great experience.

We try to get there early on the weekends, as it gets busy. It has a locals feel.

Food is downtown to earth comfort food. Great hashbrowns. Hefty serving sizes. Individual Prosecco bottles for mimosas.

Service is friendly and fast.

The atmosphere: the egg-chicken- farm theme rules. Lots of booths (my favorite ).
