The food, service, and atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend coming here. Only feed back I have is right after we were done eating we were given the check. It would have been nice not to feel pressured to finish our coffee to leave.

First time eating at Egg harbor. Good service. Fast seating. And good atmosphere. The food is fresh and delicious. Good coffee and pancakes. Ordered the traditional plate and avocado toast. Highly recommend, family friendly

Staff was great, the Tuna-cado melt I had was the worst tuna melt I’ve ever had. Would not.recommend it! I tried eating it because I was hungry (fasted for 14 hours for blood draw) but I can’t finish it. It was a waste of $15. They should have called that Tuna (with mayo, not salad), over toasted bread and melted cheese. It was a cold sandwich!! I had to distribute the tuna over the toast bc it was just slapped there with 3 slices (not rings) of onions and a slice of tomato.

Well you can tell everything is made with care here, from the food to the dishes and atmosphere. The service was prompt and didn’t really bother me, but an older couple came in and the waitress took time to talk to them. So they seem to be attune to the needs of the clients. When I say prompt too I mean my food came out quick and while I was in the bathroom fishing up they ripped off my water. I also brought in some paperwork and they told me to stay as long as I wanted. I love the coffee cup to I’ll try to buy one before I leave.
Food was delicious. Normally I get burned potatoes in a skillet or under cooked cause there too big. Here they were cooked to a firm but mushy inside and not cold. The bacon was crisp tender and had a lot of flavor. Definitely would recommend 10/10

The breakfast was delicious We enjoyed everything. Ordered the Lemon French Toast, Cinnamon French Toast, and Lobster Skillet which came with Potatoes and an English Muffin. Food was very flavorful and seasoned well. Not salty at all. Food was also fresh and hot. Our waitress was new and couldn’t take our order on her own, but she did an awesome job! The food did not disappoint. The Mimosa was good as well. Egg Harbor you have earned customers for life. I’ll be back real soon

This place is good for breakfast or lunch, even though is not as consistent and generous as it used to be with their portions.
They have cut back on their portions and has become slightly over priced as well.
I had some green sauce chilaquiles with chicken, and it had 3 thin sliced strips of avocado, three small strips of chicken and very little green sauce, so had to asked them for extra green sauce.
Basically half of what I used to get.
The biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs are still very good as always.
The establishment still has good food and great service, but they are becoming too expensive for the portions they serve you.

Egg Harbor Cafe is a hidden gem tucked in Downers Grove. The location is in a great, busy part of Downers with several other small shops and stores near by. The cafe itself is welcoming, with indoor and outdoor dining and the staff is very very friendly. Food here is great, you can tell that all ingredients are fresh and high quality. Even the yolks in the eggs are a bright golden orange, which is a great sign of fresh eggs being used! Is highly recommend Egg Harbor to anyone looking for a great place to stop for breakfast or Brunch!

I enjoyed the chicken sausage and goat cheese scrambler and a side of chorizo hash. Flavorful and tasty. They haven’t perfected the potatoes for both, a bit on the wet side side for my taste. I like the farmhouse atmosphere. Service was friendly but if you’re in a rush you should take your food to go
