We serve breakfast and lunch foods from 7 am to 2 pm daily! We do have specials on Mondays for All You Can Eat Biscuits and Gravy, Tuesdays is a 20% if you are 55 and older and then on Wednesdays- we have 1/2 burgers with the purchase of a drink! We are a family owned restaurant, and so when you leave, you will feel like family! Hope to see you soon!

We decided to drop by without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately. Our server was attentive and friendly, guiding us through the menu and making great recommendations. Even with a full house, our meals arrived quickly and were absolutely delicious. The staff’s teamwork and positive energy made the whole experience feel effortless and welcoming. It was such a smooth, enjoyable visit that we left feeling satisfied and already planning our next trip back!

I was very impressed with the service, atmosphere, quality & portions of our meals for a very reasonable price. They have great specials on weekdays, such as all you can eat biscuits & gravy on Mondays, 20% discounts for seniors on Tuesdays, 1/2 price hamburgers on Wednesdays & taco Tuesday-Thursday. This place will definitely be my to go place for great food. If you haven’t been there lately, it’s under new owners/management , so you should try them again.

We called ahead and timed it perfectly to be sat as we walked in. The waitress was prompt to get our order and the fantastic food was delivered in an adequate amount of time considering how busy it was. The staff seemed to be getting along well and helping each other with a smile. Fantastic experience all around.

Went to the Egg Crate for the very 1st time with my family. I ordered the chicken fried steak with fries and green beans. The service was excellent as my drink was always topped of by the gracious waitress. The biscuit was delicious, especially when I smothered it in butter and jelly! The chicken fried steak was perfectly crispy in the outside and perfectly tender on the outside. I especially loved the variety of sauces and dips from my fries! The meal was very filling as I ended up sharing my fries with my neices and nephews (as they were eagerly waiting for me to “throw in the towel” so they could gobble them up!) Along with the delicious food the atmosphere of the diner has a really cozy atmosphere with a lot of fun themed country style decor. I am looking forward to visiting the Egg Crate Cafe on my future visits from Colorado!

Breakfast is something that a lot of restaurants can screw up. Not this place! We wandered in while we were visiting in Wichita last week. First of all, the atmosphere is super cute. Very country and welcoming. The owner was outside unloading some supplies out of his truck and he was super friendly. The staff inside was even more so. Lots of regular customers there who literally come eat there every day. My mom is a bit of a coffee snob. And when she ordered the first cup of coffee, she really wanted something stronger. The waitress literally said “oh yeah we have double brewed.” I think that my mother almost fell out of the booth and she said the double brewed coffee was divine! I ordered the country fried steak with gravy and it was literally the size of a hubcap. It is the best country fried steak I have ever eaten…hands down… and I am from the South so we definitely know how to do fried food. My mother ordered a breakfast that had pancakes. The pancakes were the size of her plate! I am not sure what was in the pancake batter, but it was so sweet and fluffy. I can tell you I’ve never had better pancakes! These folks are really doing it right. If you’re looking for a great restaurant in Wichita, KS, you’ve got to check this place out.

I started going to this restaurant in 2019, and my husband and I loved it. Our waitress, Missy, was amazing, as was her sister, Tiffany. Today we found out that the new owner fired Missy, which I have to say was a HUGE mistake. At the same time, I noticed there were only two people in the kitchen when there were usually enough to serve customers quickly and efficiently. The owner took an hour and a half to bring our food, and the only reason we waited was to give Tiffany our tip in cash. I don’t know what’s going on here, but the only person I saw working besides the two cooks and the dishwasher was Tiffany, who was serving ALL the tables, while about seven other people, including the owner, just stood around, walking in circles, chatting, and doing nothing. It’s clear they have absolutely no idea how to run a business. With sadness, we decided that today was our last visit to that place. If this is how they treat their employees—so aggressive and unfair—we have no intention of continuing to contribute to it. YOUR BUSINESS IS GOING TO GO BANKRUPT BECAUSE OF YOUR TERRIBLE DECISIONS.

My husband and I tried the egg crate Cafe for the first time today. We went on a monday when they have all you can eat biscuits and gravy. It was extremely clean inside. We were seated right away. The waitress was very attentive to our needs. The food was good, however my husband’s potatoes turned cold pretty fast. Large portions and good prices. We will be back!
