While waiting to be seated at another restaurant, our family was walking up and down Locust to kill time. We stopped on a bench, and one of the owners, Asad, came out of The Egg After Dark and greeted us. He warmly welcomed us into his restaurant, and offered us waters while we waited to be sat at another restaurant. He also overheard my daughter complaining about being hungry and provided us a square of cornbread for my youngest, and a complimentary pizza he was trialing before adding to the menu for my other daughter, husband and I to share. We were shortly paged for our seats at the restuarant we originally saught to dine at, but loved the atmosphere and hospitality so much that we came back afterwards for an post- dinner drink as well. Be sure to engage with the kind and friendly staff here- this place is a hidden gem! Dont forget to try a Pisco Sour; you wont be disappointed!

The food was delicious and the owner was super friendly. He brought out a flatbread pizza for us to try that hasn’t even been added to the menu yet. They recently extended their hours into the evening so it was pretty quiet when my husband and I went there, but I don’t expect it to stay that way for long because this place is a gem!

I’m not sure who’s fault it is, but online, it shows that Egg After Dark was open until 1:30am. I arrived at the location around 10:45 pm or so, and there was no one there. There were no lights on and no sign of any operations for late night dining.

Great place to drop in for a late night bite to eat. Owner and servers are super nice and accommodating. Food is delicious
