Food was good, great portion and value. However the service was really disappointing and the ambiance wasn’t terribly comfortable. Additionally, we waited a while and were ignored/forgotten, and when we finally got more chips amd salsa while waiting, the basket and dip bowls weren’t removed from the table, but just plopped on top of the used one. With so many Mexican dining choices, it is a shame that there really isn’t a good reason to revisit this restaurant, maybe take-out. We would definitely choose to go to a different restaurant in the area for a more pleasant Mexican food dine-in experience.

My family and I came here last night, but unfortunately we didn’t stay. While we were seated as soon as we came in, as soon as we sat down we all instantly realized the lights blaring above us were truly awful. And then they brought out the chips, which no joke were the worst tortilla chips I’ve ever had in a Mexican restaurant- where did they go wrong? So unfortunately at this point we just decided to leave and go to another restaurant down the street…
(Also this picture in the menu of the “chicken enchilada” versus the “supreme chicken enchilada,” makes it look like the only difference between the two is that for the “supreme” one, you get an extra olive )

I love this place it’s a little cozy Mexican restaurant with awesome food and drinks. The house margarita’s are awesome. You only need one trust me. The servers here are very friendly and the food is always delicious and served hot and fresh the green Chile smothered ribs are my favorite. I will definitely be back here again and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new place to try authentic Mexican food

Really wonderful long-standing Mexican restaurant with a straight-forward menu and delicious house margs. Nothing critical to say about this place; it’s just a nice place to be. The spice scale is accurate and the prices are considerably lower than most of lesser quality.

Best Mexican restaurant in the area. My Green Chili dinner was excellent. My wife’s red chili dinner was also excellent. 5 stars.

One of the best burritos I have ever had. I ordered the Efrain’s Burrito. Every bite was delicious. It comes with their green chili loaded with pork. It had some nice heat. Very reasonable pricing. Parking was easy to find on a Sunday night.

Lots of options, friendly service, fun atmosphere. Our waitress was extremely friendly and sweet. However, The margaritas were burnt and had way too much tequila. The food was cold, and my beef fajita was dry and bland. Everything was slow too, and I think the bartender was gone so that’s why the margs weren’t great. We did have a twelve person table, so that makes everything more difficult for the staff. Overall, I think this restaurant is decent but we just unfortunately caught them on a bad night while passing through town.

First time trying Colorado green chile after only having New Mexican chile. Heard about the state rivalry and was recommended this place. It’s super delicious! I got the hottest possible green chile they had, and it delivered heat! Almost ghost pepper level heat at some other places. Would only suggest to real chile heads. Hotter than 90 percent of the New Mexican green chile places I’ve been to. Also the flavor was unique and different. It’s very pork based. The lard was yummy and the pork was super tender mixed in with the green sauce. I definitely want to come back the next time I’m visiting Colorado from Oregon

Lively place, very friendly staff, affordable prices, and good food. The green chile stew was spicy and the enchiladas were tasty! The building itself is definitely older and has a disjointed feel moving from one room to the next, which makes it a bit confusing on entry. Also, the parking was difficult to manage on a busy night, with signs on the adjacent building saying “absolutely no parking” and a very limited number of spaces available.
