The space is airy and spacious. No cramped feeling at all. It’s the kind of place where you can comfortably enjoy something quick without feeling rushed.
The pork souvlaki was honestly the highlight. Perfectly charred on the outside with that smoky, grilled flavor, but still super juicy inside. Not dry at all. You can really taste the freshness. The Greek-style pita (without the pocket) was also really good . It’s warm, slightly crisp on the edges, soft and chewy inside. It had this subtle milky flavor that made everything come together.
They also have a café section. I had an Americano and loved it. It’s smooth, aromatic, and no sharp acidity (which I personally prefer).
We got the Beef & Lamb Platter and Chicken Gyro. The platter was huge (great for sharing), and the meat was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and super flavorful. The gyro with fries inside was such a fun surprise — not dry at all, and the chicken had a nice light char.
Greek fries were hot, crispy, and really good with the yogurt sauce.
Around $25 per person, solid portions. Only sad they didn’t have souvlaki that day — guess we’ll be back
The atmosphere is modern, clean, and welcoming, which makes it a great place to sit down and enjoy your meal. On top of that, the service is excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and make sure you have a great experience from start to finish.
If you’re craving a great gyro with authentic flavors and top-quality ingredients, Efis is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!
The Efi’s gyro was massive and super flavorful — juicy chicken, fries inside, and their house sauce has a nice little kick. One wrap is more than enough for one person.
The grilled lamb platter was also huge, easily enough for two people. Lamb skewers were tender, fries were fresh, and both the white and red sauces were good. Falafel was crispy and tasty too.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the space is bright and comfortable. Great value for the amount of food you get. Will definitely be back.
Highly recommend the gyro and platter; the meat alone is worth coming back for!
Efi’s is the best authentic Greek & Mediterranean cuisine in New Jersey—hands down.

• Signature dishes: Chicken gyro, beef & lamb gyro, grilled lamb souvlaki, and build-your-own bowls
• Quality ingredients: USDA-inspected meats, fresh produce, and imported Greek staples like feta, olive oil, and pita
• Clean cooking: No gluten, MSG, preservatives, or antibiotics in their meats
Efi’s deserves recognition for making THE BEST TZATZIKI in North America, never mind New Jersey. This establishment deserves a Michelin Bib Gourmand award for their exceptional food and service. The staff is welcoming, and genuinely committed to making every visit memorable.
As for the owner, Stephano—his commitment to customer service blew me away. I placed a late dinner order and ran to CVS before it arrived. When I got home, I found two full orders. I hadn’t been charged twice, so I called to clarify. Stephano explained he was worried about the Uber driver’s timing and personally sent a second order with his own driver to ensure I’d be taken care of. That’s not just good service—it’s elite.
Whether you’re grabbing lunch or catering for a crowd, Efi’s delivers Michelin-grade hospitality and flavor. I imagine Heaven being an all you can eat buffet with Efi’s catering and never ending supply of Efis homemade tzatziki.
Efis isn’t just a gyro shop—it’s a taste of home and heaven.
Their lamb souvlanki is the worst – not cooked – the meat tastes like rubber. Do not order the lamb skewers. Overall, I would rate this 2 — People eating here – get ready for a jaw exercise…
