Social Profile:

Since the sunny, colorful, carefree days of the early 1970s, eegees has been serving handcrafted sub sandwiches and its now-famous frozen fruit drink, the eegee, in Southern Arizona. In September 1971, the founders pooled their resources to purchase a vending truck and began serving a frozen lemon drink at high schools, sporting events, and concerts in town. The drink was called an eegee. Eventually, the vending trucks were retired as they turned their business into a growing quick-service restaurant chain. Today, there are 25+ eegees locations in the greater Tucson area, as well as one in neighboring town Casa Grande. The restaurant has also grown its menu and now offers salads, french fries, and signature ranch dressings.

Casual chain serving frozen fruit drinks along with submarine sandwiches, fries & salads.

$33 for this?? They forgot a whole order of fries and ranch too. Not to mention the 4th chicken tender is more like a nugget. Fries were soggy. Actually so disappointed because we used to enjoy coming here. Also the drive thru was empty when we pulled in so it can’t be because they were busy.

Just to clarify, this wasn’t about the restaurant itself — it was my frustration with the app. They were offering $10 off a $30 order, and I spent about 30 minutes trying to get it to work. After building an order close to $100 for a party, the coupon still wouldn’t apply.

At that point, I canceled the order and went to Firehouse instead. I had actually been curious to try Eegee’s sandwiches since I’ve never had them before, but after that experience, I probably won’t.

I have this recurring time management issue on a specific day once a month that my schedule is bad. I pull up to their drive-in to get a giant Eegee frozen to share at home. It is always just as they are closing, and I am usually discombobulated, stressed, have to ask them to repeat the order, etc. One time, I even had to pay with coins from the car, and got down to the pennies…. [yep–once a month or so, I am “that guy”]

The girls (always been younger women serving me) have always been patient and attitude-free, even though an eye roll or tone would be understandable.

In this era of unhappiness, and at my invisible age where, to younger eyes, I am juat an out-of-date, older, boring revenue source, it actually has made me happy everytime the staff has been so helpful and non-judgmental. It is a rare, unexpected pleasure these days.

Thank you Eegee’s employees and whoever is hiring/training you.

The dinner rush should be avoided. Mobile order, delivery promised at approximately 6:30pm but finally got my food about 20 minutes later. They did give me my lucky lime eegee fairly quick.

I saw a photo of their crispy chicken salad online and was craving the salad because it had pepperoncinis on it. I order the salad with no tomatoes ,extra pepperoncinis ,extra black olives & their buffalo ranch for dressing. i got my salad and it was completely wrong. Even gave me house dressing? I can’t say i would spend $11 for a salad that is made like a side salad lol

Several mistakes with food. Buffalo chicken came without buffalo and half a turkey sub took forever to come. When it finally did come they tried to give a cookie to make up for it which would have been fine but when we opened the sub it was the wrong sandwhich. The man working the counter was amazing, he repeated the right thing back, it showed the right thing on the receipt its whoevers back making food thats not only making it wrong but taking a long time to do it too. Place was not busy either. I hope to be able to change this review someday.

Having been a loyal customer since the original family-owned days, I’ve seen Eegee’s evolve. While I was initially worried about the quality and service after the company was acquired, I’m thrilled to say that this specific location consistently exceeds my expectations. The food is always the best I’ve ever had—and the customer service is truly next-level. The employees there go out of their way to make every visit special, often including friendly notes on the bag to brighten my day. Because of their exceptional dedication, I will forever and always go out of my way to visit this particular Eegee’s location.

I’m a huge fan of Eegees locations in Tucson, but very disappointed with this location. I have come twice now to get my usual order that I get in Tucson and these grinders do not compare, they taste completely different. The one I got tonight came with a lopsided, cold bun despite asking for it toasted. It was also wrapped lazily and almost spilled all over my car. I’ve learned my lesson and will pretend this location doesn’t exist, Tucson eggees from now on!

We have been wanting to eat here since we found out they opened. We used to eat at the ones in Tucdon and we crave them! We happened to be close to this one so we stopped and believe me were not disappointed. The service was great, the place was spotless, and the place felt very comfortable. The food was amazing, just like we remember. They offer 3 sizes of sandwiches, 3 in, 6 in and 12 in. The prices were so affordable. I had the 6 inch Italian Grinder and my husband had a 12 inch pastrami. We will be going back often!

I decided to try their pretzels. And I would never recommend them! It’s almost like they took a frozen pretzel but it in a plastic container and put it in the microwave. It tasted like plastic and was so rubbery and chewy. Don’t waste your money on the pretzels!
I love there classic eegees. The Skinny berry is my favorite. It’s sugar free. The eegees get a 5 star from me. But because of how disappointing the pretzel was I will have to give them an overall one star. Hopefully they can make better pretzels in the future.
