Edzo’s never fails to impress me. It’s a classic burger joint that you can’t go wrong with. The place since reopening is card only, focusing on online ordering and takeout. You can eat in but the area is relatively small. The burgers are cooked accurate to what you request, and the beef is brought in fresh daily. They are generous with the toppings. I was delightfully surprised with the BBQ Bacon Cheddar Burger, as the BBQ flavor is mild but adds some nice layering to the flavor. The fries are hand cut and made fresh. Typically the fries are great but occasionally they can be just okay. (id give a 4.5 stars if possible for this reason only) The shakes are absolutely delicious, as the banana shake was packed with flavor. i recommend choosing split into two cups if you do takeout because they give you whatever is left from them making the shake (usually is quite a bit). The owner is really friendly, and the staff is too. We love coming here when the burger cravings kick in and will continue to !

DON’T LISTEN TO ANY OF THE ONE STAR REVIEWS!!! This place has some of the best burgers I have ever had! There are many different menu options, and you can also build your own burger. The owner is VERY friendly, and I wish I lived closer to here so that I could eat here more often. Keep up the good work Edzo’s!!!

Tasty burger and fries, and loved the atmosphere of the restaurant! Service was a bit awkward, but certainly not rude, just a bit off. Food came out reasonably quickly, loved the meal although the chocolate milkshake was heavily diluted and practically just vanilla, that element was not well-done. Prices are a bit high but nothing astronomical. Cool establishment in downtown Evanston, great decor inside it’s definitely worth the visit!

No no no. Everything was just terrible. I ordered two single burgers and small fries. The burger was pretty thin with no seasoning at all. The fries were way over done, way too greasy, and had so much salt I couldn’t even eat any. The chairs of the place are literally tearing apart. The floor is filthy looking. I can see areas of the place that have never been cleaned. All of this for $17…don’t go here unless you love over priced terrible food.

Edzo’s burgers is a popular local burger joint with spacious interior and fast service. Craving for burgers we went to Edzo’s as they had high numbers of reviews and a high rating. However, the experience at Edzo’s wasn’t exciting nor satisfying.

First off, the price isn’t exactly cheap. For a single thin 4 oz burger with standard buns is $5.25. The Charburger with a thicker 8oz burger was just that, a cheap burger with a thicker patty. Both doesn’t come with cheese and costs extra.

More importantly, the burger itself, though not bad, it is nothing to rave about. The patty or the buns are pretty standard, nothing extraordinary. When the ordinary comes only with as much as you want ketchup and mustard on the side, I don’t think there’s much to much to write about.

On the bright side, the fries at Edzo’s are absolutely perfect! Wonderfully cut, seasoned and deep fried!

Lowdown, it’s a student’s burger joint, with great fries!

Love this place. First, I want to mention how community orientated this restaurant is. They don’t use too much packing for their food like others. They hire people that have a hard time finding jobs and train them well. And their food is local and natural.

Most importantly, when I order a medium rare burger, that is what I get. The meat is so good that I don’t get any condiments. The fries! The fries are fresh cut, AND you can get them “old” (really well done) and garlic! There are lots of others ways to get your fries too like with Merkts cheddar or with bacon and cheese. But I love the old and garlic fries.

Super yummy shakes. And they have changing shake specials. I like peanut butter banana. Or mint. Currently they have a fresh Michigan strawberry shake. So good!

My whole family gets excited when we get to eat here.

Yum. Recommended by a friend who used to live here. Burgers and loaded fries did not disappoint. The shake was classically good, came in a paper to go cup and we were offered the metal mixing cup to finish it off. Great experience. Hit the spot. Nice staff.

Got a burger, loaded fries, and an Oreo shake. All tasted great – especially the shake and fries! The service wasn’t great, but it was worth trying after finding it via the Infatuation with rave reviews. I’d consider going back next time I’m in Evanston, it’s definitely a bit more unique than the chain restaurants that are around the area.

Also worth noting – they don’t have indoor dining or a patio, but there’s a nice pinkie outdoor seating area right across the street!

Tasty burgers that make it worth the visit. Lots of people getting a milkshake as well but i couldn’t fit one in! Chips were hand cut and well seasoned.

Is it the best burger joint in evanston? Based on solely the patty, i think Bat17 wins in flavor. Nevertheless, a great vibe, friendly staff and fast service. I would go again.

I was super excited to try Edzos for the first time since they’ve been closed the past year or so, but I was super disappointed in the quality of the meal. For almost $13 you get a small, average tasting cheeseburger and some of the worst fries I’ve ever had. They were covered in way too much salt, not crispy at all, and some weren’t cooked all the way through. I like supporting smaller fast food places, but I won’t be coming back here.
