Amazing croissants, omelettes, crepes, and cafe Americano. Very French style. Lovely people and service. Adorable atmosphere. We took my mom for brunch, sat outside, and she loved it. Reasonably priced as well. Plus it’s all for a good cause. Will be back.

May 2024: I visited this place before during a book event in their library. This place has a reputation as a safe space where people can get a second chance. The cashier was very kind and confirmed that the rumors were true.

I ordered the Edwin Omelet (which had cheese, chorizo, onions, peppers, etc. inside it), seasoned home fries, and homemade biscuits for a surprising small price of $12. Everything was delicious. The biscuits were a bit dry and would pair great with gravy.

PROS:
* The food and service are good.
* a Cleveland area staple with a good reputation.
* Unique, cozy ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating

CONS;
* Limited parking. I parked at the Dollar store and walked over.

SUMMARY: I will return.

Absolutely fantastic! The gentleman working was so kind and the pastries were PERFECTION! The raspberry danish was incredible. I tried the Pain au chocolat for the first time and if you are a fan of dark chocolate and a croissants… you need to give it a try! I can’t wait to come back now that we found out that they have a breakfast menu! We also want to try some of their coffees, lattes, teas and hot chocolates! My only complaint would be that it was difficult to figure out where to park, but that definitely is not a deterrent for us.

It’s definitely a go-to place to relax, read a good book, grab coffee or tea, a good Danish, and more. Mike was so helpful with all of my questions. He had an available booster seat so my son and I could dine in comfortably. The tea and food were very delicious. I had a salmon, spinach, mushrooms, and cheese omelet. All the flavors married well. The potatoes had just the right crunch. The French toast was just as tasteful. Unskilled you very much.
P.S. try the ” Breakfast in Paris” tea!

Another visit to another Edwins and another homerun for Brandon Chrostowski.

I hope you know the mission of the Edwins Institute so I will not go into the details about it here… So on to the bakery/diner experience – it is absolutely great! My daughter can’t stop speaking how much she loved it here. When you come in, you are greeted by the counter with the the display of all freshly baked goodies (and they all look amazing). To the left is the library with some of the seating’s and to the right is the diner itself (the diner itself is pretty small but library and butcher shop next door has some additional seats).

The menu itself is full of all the great breakfast/brunch spots. My daughter ordered iced white mocha coffee, which they don’t have on the menu but the individual behind the counter didn’t blink and made it for her (great service, very typical of Edwins experience!). We tried 3 things on the menu: Corned Beef Hash (home-made corned beef, awesome! a bit of a miss that eggs were a bit overcooked and more carrots that I prefer), Crepes with strawberry and nutella, and egg sandwich on a croissant with smoke salmon. We also ordered Pain Au Chocolat and Lemon Curd to go.

Everything was outstanding. Definitely coming back!

P.S. When you are here, visit the butcher shop!!! Really neat as well

Discovered Edwin’s when traveling through the area. Very happy I stopped. Delicious almond bar and coffee … and the gentleman who waited on me at the bakery counter was a real professional and the nicest guy. He truly cared about me as a customer, it showed. He had only recently completed the culinary program at Edwin and was hired after. A great choice for sure! Look forward to bringing my family back in the future.

We had a delicious, elevated breakfast. Everything tastes homemade. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality. Our server kept our coffee filled and everyone was very friendly.

A lovely, friendly bakery with pastry so good, it will change your day for the better. The gentleman behind the counter had an infectious, golden smile! What a nice place! I have never eaten such a delicious ham & cheese croissant – featuring an abundance of real carved ham (not just some crummy lunch meat) and super flavorful cheese. Wow! And the Almond Bar? What sort of alchemy is this? So toasty! And a hint of something fruity – Apricot? Date? Fig? Not sure, but it was scrumptious! Finally, the Palmier was so light – like eating sweet, buttery air!
I can’t wait to be a repeat customer. Thanks for the wonderful experience!
