First time trying Bison Enchiladas. I asked for all rice and no beans and all the sauces and garnishes on the side (I like flavors but not a lot of heat). I took my first bite and I realized I should have asked the waiter about the heat level of the bison meat. He came back to our table to see how we were doing and I asked for a side of sour cream to lessen the heat and it helped greatly. Now I was able to taste and enjoy the enchiladas. They seasoned it well. Bison is lean and it needs assistance from the chef to make it tasty. Excellent service from our waiter. I like it a lot when restaurants use handheld devices to place orders and to check out guests. Your credit card never leaves your hand. Small parking lot next to the restaurant. It’s free parking after 5pm otherwise you hunt for street parking or use the parking lot at the library across the street. Fun and lively vibe at this restaurant.

We’ve visited Ed’s Cantina & Grill several times and there’s a reason why when in Estes we do. The food is delicious, service is good and the ambience is festive. The drinks are good too. I ordered the Barbacoa Bowl and the wife the chicken tacos . We both were very satisfied with our orders and will revisit after the holidays when the Sangria is back on the menu. Until next time . A 5 experience!

Always our go-to spot in Estes Park!

Ed’s Cantina & Grill never disappoints. No matter how busy they are (and they usually are!), the service is impressively fast and efficient. We ordered and had our drinks in under 5 minutes, and our food followed shortly after—less than 10 minutes later!

My favorite is the bison enchiladas—they’re packed with flavor, and the sauce has the perfect balance of spice and tang. It pairs so well with the pinto beans and rice on the side.

Another must-try is their fried green beans—a total game changer for picky eaters who don’t usually love veggies. Seriously, give them a shot.

We also ordered the plantains, which were amazing – crispy edges, soft center, and topped with cilantro, black salt and sunflower seeds.

From the great food to the quick service, Ed’s has earned its place as a staple for us every time we visit Estes Park. Highly recommend!

We ate at Ed’s last night, and we had a really great experience. My wife is Celiac, so selecting places that are careful about cross-contamination (but still offer options beyond a salad) is critical, and is always a challenge. We were seated by Lexi, who was also our server, and when we mentioned my wife’s dietary restrictions, she was totally responsive, thoroughly explained the menu, and even offered to go the extra mile to make items that are listed as only “gluten-free” fully celiac-safe. I ordered the Barbacoa tacos, and my wife got the Carne Asada, and both we truly outstanding. The beef in my tacos was tender and flavorful, and the chiles featured the perfect balance of heat and flavor, while my wife’s steak couldn’t have been grilled more perfectly. We got house margs (just fine, but could maybe do with just a touch more agave to give a bit more sweetness), but the stars of the evening were thise main courses, and the tremendous service we received from Lexi. The care and thoroughness she showed (while remaining totally friendly) was amazing, and truly appreciated. Normally, we eat at different places each night of our trips, but the experience at Ed’s was so good last night, we’ll likely be there again tonight.

Great vegetarian options! The chile relleno was so good, something like i’ve never had

Although chips and salsa are not complementary, they were very fresh and delicious! The two different sauces on the enchiladas were really good!

Very friendly staff and helped us customize the food exactly the way we wanted it

The restaurant is spacious and pretty with a lot of cool local art ☺️

Unusually warm weather in Colorado so we took a drive for a late lunch to Estes Park and stopped in at a favorite place Ed’s Cantina. Lexi was our Server and she was great. Always with a smile, she was very attentive and asked if we had any questions regarding drinks, appetizers, and main course options. Our drinks and meals were on the table quickly and were delicious. My wife had the Avocado Margarita which is a favorite at Ed’s and I had a Michelada. My wife had the Chicken Enchiladas Special and I the 14teener Burrito. Both on the table quickly and we both took leftovers home. Lexi was so good checking on us numerous times throughout our time there. Stop in and see them and give that Avocado Margarita a try!

Ed’s Cantina is a solid spot in Estes Park, especially for the location. Sitting outside is definitely the way to go since it’s right next to the river walkway—it’s such a nice vibe, especially on a warm day.

The food is a bit hit or miss, but there are definitely some highlights. The bison enchiladas are really good—flavorful and a little different from the usual. The queso is also great, super creamy and pairs nicely with the chips (even though the chips themselves aren’t anything special). The green bean fries, on the other hand, are pretty forgettable.

The margaritas are a win, though—just the right mix of tart and sweet, and they go perfectly with the food.

Overall, Ed’s Cantina is a good place to grab a bite, especially for the outdoor seating and the location. It’s worth checking out if you’re in Estes Park!

Stumbled upon this place while walking with my girlfriend we decided to step in and as soon as we entered, we were greeted by very friendly staff, and I had a 4 min conversation with one of the servers there about soccer since I had my liverpool jersey on. Coolest guy ever btw. Later after we finished our food (the bison enchiladas are soo good) we were surprised with a dessert and to my team’s official song played over the restaurant speakers. If I am ever up in estes park again I will definitely be stopping by again, great food, clean place, and absolutely amazing service.

food was amazing! barbacoa tacos were delicious, but the service was crazy. we sat ourselves after the host gave us menus and told us where to sit. because of this, we got no silverware (along with the 6 other tables in our section who also seated themselves) and the waiter/waitresses didn’t know we were sat because the host didn’t put it in on the system, so we all sat for a long time until the waiter realized he was waiting for our tables. we order diet cokes, but our food came before the drinks and silverware. we never got refills of our diet coke, salsa, and never saw our waiter again after he took our order, although he did come by with the check. i don’t blame him, he had 7 tables to deal with, but it felt very unorganized. but the food was delicious!
