This was am amazing experience: I didn’t know anything about edos before going in and was amazed by the immediate atmosphere thats perfect for dinner dates. The waitress (Amy) was very attentive and patient when I didn’t understand the menu.
More on the expensive side but I promise you it’s worth it. This was some of the best food I’ve had In a hot second. I’d say it beats burtons bar and grill and they’re about the same pricing.

This Italian restaurant was amazing! The pasta was absolutely delicious , fresh, flavorful, and the portions were huge! You definitely won’t leave hungry. We didn’t have a reservation and had to wait about 20 minutes, but it was totally worth it. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic.

I actually visited the Hibachi Box not Edo’s Squid. The food is truly amazing. I flew in from Vegas and caught a Uber right before they closed. That’s how I like this place.

Had dinner this weekend with visiting family. Last time I was here was over 20 years ago. The food was just as exceptional as it was in 2004. My family, self proclaimed foodies, loved it all, We had a party of 11 and the family style presentation was perfect! Every appetizer, along with every entree, weren’t just delicious, they were all phenomenal. Braised fennel is more than worth the hype.

Best steak I’ve ever had. Service was friendly, available, and not disruptive. To be honest, the hanger steak dinner could have been split among 2-3 people with the pasta included – prices were fair for a fancy dinner. Will be back!

Not the move. Waited 30 minutes past our reservation and another hour for food that tastes and is presented below the price point. Food also wasn’t hot.
Service is without question the worst I’ve experienced from any restaurant above dive spots; to the point of having to ask our server to take a drink order twice.
Other shortcomings: cramped, very loud, lighting, table setting. They would solve a lot of issues if they cut the occupancy in half.
While the food was slightly above average, I cannot justify returning when we have so many other options at a much better value. Compare this directly against Bacchus, and Bacchus wins 10/10 times.
Edit: I forgot to mention that, due to being overcrowded, our server bumped into my fiance, spilling her wine and did not offer to refill the glass (which doesn’t come in a wine glass?). Additionally, it’s clear they lack too many people in as we had to wait for another glass of wine because they “ran out of clean glassware.”

Awesome experience! Very large portions. Get ready for lots of garlic. House wine was well priced and a nice pour. Crowded but intimately so, but be careful if you can’t stand loud noise or other humans very close to you. Lots of steps to get up to the restaurant. I was really into the old photos in the stairway!

An absolute delight! We arrived promptly at 5pm. With no reservation, but first in line, we were seated at a wonderful table near the window. We started with the fried calamari and braised fennel. Would highly recommend the fried calamari! The portions are large so be willing to share main courses. 2 mains can feed four people comfortably. We ordered the double cut pork chop Marsala and spaghetti broccoli rob garlic olive oil with ricotta. Best pork chop of my life! We tried a cannoli which was yummy but was not the mind-blowing experience that the rest of our meal was. The service was excellent especially considering how packed and busy it got. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Richmond easily!

First time seated at bar. Lydia and Sally were extremely helpful and friendly with us in making choices of food, wine and cocktails. Learned more things about the items on the menu. Had a fabulous time and can’t wait to return. Eggplant parmigiana we split as appetizer and it was huge had to get a to go box. Shrimp with basil was delicious. Out of the world Tiramisu not pictured and got 2 to go!

You won’t find a better Italian dining experience anywhere. Edo has been a Richmond gem for a long time. Every time I’ve come here, the food has been exquisite. This time, the stand-out dish was the skatefish! I could have just ordered it as my main dish instead of an appetizer. The Monk fish Diablo was pretty tasty as well. We stopped in before going to see Mama Mia for a great dinner. It’s kind of a hard find and looks like a bit of a dive, going up a long flight of steps, but once you walk in, it does have a bit of charm to it. There is a very small bar to the left and then sitting everywhere else. The seating is tight, so you will be close to other tables. Service is always top knotch! Great servers that will lead you through their specials. Always have specials on the walls. You can’t go wrong with Edo’s!
